Veteran Dies on Everest

The ten member Everest International Expedition will make an attempt from the Nepalese side. Dawa Sherpa, who had summited Everest three times, was helping stock pile supplies at camp three when the accident occurred, somewhere between 6400 meters and 7500 meters.

Dawas death is the first on the mountain for the current climbing season. His body was expected to be brought to the Nepalese capital later in the week for the last rites.
