Earth Trek Competition Results
This past weekend saw the Earth Treks Roc competition take place in Baltimore, Maryland. There was great attendance for this competition which saw such names as Chris Sharma, Paul Robinson and Daniel Woods (to name a few) taking part for the men's category. With Alex Johnson, Alex Puccio, Isabelle Faus, Kasia Pietras and Lisa Rands representing the women's category.
This competition was available via live feed (an excellent technological revolution which is becoming increasingly popular in sports now days), so many of you may have already seen the results and some of the action of the competition.
The men's 'problem 2' was noted for being extremely technical and overall the competition hosted some pretty difficult problems.
It'd been a while since Chris Sharma has partaken in indoor competitions, but he came out to surprise a few as he managed to hang onto first place, while Paul Robinson came second and Daniel Woods managed to grab third place. Alex Puccio managed to capture the first place for the women's division.
The results are as follows:
- Men's
- Chris Sharma
- Paul Robinson
- Daniel Woods
- Women's
- Alex Puccio
- Alex Johnson
- Lisa Rands
Overall it was a very successful competition, with positive feedback from both organizers and spectators alike. Let us hope that they manage to hold another one next year, and may it be an even bigger success than this years.

the live feed was sweet HOWEVER, if this is the "future of climbing" then we either need to find commentators who are not complete f*cking morons, or have none at all. Mechler was okay, but the other dude made me turn the sound off. seriously, shut up already. |
