Mark Lewis writes in an e-mail:

Myself and my colleague (both from Wales) are currently attempting the VS Challenge. This is an effort to climb 100,000 mtr of rock in south Wales over the next 5 months. We are doing this full time and instead of working.

The aim of this is to raise £100,000 for two Welsh charities – Tenovus and The WISCM Trust.

Wasn't there a really cynical article in R&I recently about the whole climbing for charities deal?
I wish I could climb full time...

If you're doing something good for someone else and having a great time doing it, more power to you. Wish I could come along.
