Outdoors Show 2012 - A Success
|
All this positivity comes alongside an increased attendance for The Outdoors Show, The London Bike Show and The Active Travel Show of 31,912, an increase of 5% on 2011.
Geraldine Reeve, Show Manager of The Outdoors Show, The Active Travel Show and The London Bike Show said: “Given the current climate this year’s shows were a great success. To achieve a 5% increase in visitor numbers across the shows is a fantastic result.” “The London Bike Show doubled in size and is testament to what can happen when an industry backs a show. My thanks go to the exhibitors who have embraced the show and worked closely with us to make it a success. The event, if not already, is close to becoming the premier cycling event within the exhibitions industry. The London Bike Show is a key date in the diary of the cycling world.”
“Likewise, The Active Travel Show, launched this year, is set to double in size in 2013, as over 60% of exhibitors have already re-booked the stands. The travel industry has welcomed the large and diverse audience that results in the colocation with other related events.

“The Outdoors Show has gone through a difficult transition in recent years. However this year the show bucked the trend of what’s happening on the high street. More than ever before we worked closely with our exhibitors and partners to deliver content that would appeal to visitors. However, there is still room for improvement, and this can only be achieved if the outdoors industry embraces the show in the same way that the cycle industry has done with the London Bike Show.”
“Unfortunately we still receive limited support from some parts of the outdoors industry. This is disappointing as The Outdoors Show is now the UK’s only largescale consumer event dedicated to the outdoors. No other event brings together so many outdoor enthusiasts under one roof. Visitors who are eager to find out about and buy new products and services.”
“As the pressure on marketing budgets increases it’s vital that we work with exhibitors to ensure they get the most out of the event. If you’re in the outdoors industry and unsure about getting involved in the 2013 show, then please talk us. This year we have proved that even against the backdrop of financial doom and gloom, we are investing more than ever before to deliver successful events. Let us help you capitalise on this success.”
The Outdoors Show, The London Bike Show and The Active Travel Show will return to take place at ExCeL London from 17th - 20th January 2013, and will again take place alongside the London Boat Show.

Not to mention that this gets released, but no mention of the OR Show in SLC, which just wrapped up as well. RC! Get some decent writers! |

Feel free to be the decent writer, since we publish what the event's press writers give us. |
