Old Colorado Junior High School gym makes way for Mountaineering Museum

The Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum awaits its new home on the site of former Golden Junior High School’s basketball court as of February 2008.

The gym, adjoined to the American Alpine Club and the Colorado Mountain Club occupies the renovated grounds in Golden, Colorado. Its informative contents will cover the history, themes that branch from mountaineering and rock climbing such a mountain religion and conservation and hopes to attract up to 10 000 visitors a year.
