He was loved by many while many tried their skills on his routes. He was a father, a badass climber, and an intellectual. He was a real man. At 67 he continued to do routes that others thought too runout. Woody was a respected man. Not just for his climbing FA's in Josh (Double Cross), but he was more respected in my world for his insights into history and American culture. He was a history teacher and well-read man of the world. We lost an American hero.
