I looking for a partner for 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell. For those not familiar this is a 24 hour endurance climbing competition at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Jasper, Arkansas. I'm looking for a partner (preferring Houston area [or Austin] so we can climb together prior to the competition which is September 24-26, 2010. If you want to meet up at Horseshoe Canyon for the week before the comp I would interested in that as well. I intend to climb in the intermediate division (climbs harder than 5.10d do not count) and will be targeting 35-40 climbs. I'm not trying to win, but just see what I can do. I have spent a few weeks climbing at Horseshoe Canyon a few years ago so I have familiarity with the area (though don't remember route beta). I'm thinking about camping and climbing the entire week prior to the comp. Also, I've climbed 25 sport climbs in a day (17 hours) at Red River Gorge Muir Valley so my goal of 35 adding in night climbing is reasonable. If your interested send me a pm or email. *Edit: The comp allows each person to lead each route twice. My goal is 35 routes (which is up to 70 leads counting repeat climbs).
