I've always wanted to get back to the Garden of the Gods, where my addiction started! It's a beautiful area. I'm sure you'll have little problem finding someone in your area. The Army base usually has more then their share of climbers in their ranks. Have you checked at the base?

I'll be in CO from 4/8 -4/22 in the springs area. Im only bringing personal gear cause i dont want to travel with my rack. i will be free on the weekend 14-16 to climb. PM if interested. I might have a problem with transportation since Im flying out and I will be staying in Florissant which is 40 miles west of the springs. Maybe we could climb at 11 mile canyon. some great routes there.

Can you get out after work/school next week? Time change, so we should be able to put up a few routes before dark. I'm thinking GOG.

Heather,

I cant do anything on Saturday but we are going to Elevenmile on Sunday. It is going to be my girlfriend and me, plus we are taking a beginner, so we will be on easy stuff. Let me know if you are interested. In case you were not aware, it is going to be  DAMN HOT  at Shelf this weekend, then again its always hot down there this time of year.

Living here on the Death Star takes up most of my time, lots of climbing at RRC and GOG. If I were closer, I would certainly make the climbing/drinking/streaking things you guys have going on in Boulder Canyon.

Just caught this thread. I have an irregular schedule so I need more partners to get out with as most of my regulars have real jobs. I like sport but prefer trad. My leading really depends on the rock. Stuff at red rocks I can usually pull off moderate 10's, trad and cracks are a different story but I'm game for anything.

I am currently visiting in Colorado Springs from WV from today through 6-26 and will be looking to get out with someone who knows the area. Red Rocks area looks intriguing. Many seem to thing GOG is polluted with tourist (hey I'm a tourist!) but I am largely at the mercy and whim of whoever is game. I have led a good deal (Trad) at my home crag of Seneca Rocks, WV up to a grade of 5.7 (stiff locally) and have followed to 5.9 (most recently a Devil's Tower, WY. Interested parties PM or post here.

Regards,
Mark

I am thinking of heading to Colorado Springs next week. I am in the Buena Vista/Salida area now and may meet a friend in CS on Weds. I would like to stay and climb through the weekend. (Thurs 6-22 thru Sunday 6-25 or beyond) I am open to climb wherever, GOG or REd Rock Canyon, you name it.

shoot me an e-mail or a PM (pref email) if you are interested in meeting up. I am up for sport or trad. I have a good amount of gear.

Hi there. I`m a climber that has just relocated from New Orleans and I`m desparetly looking for someone to climb with here in CO Springs. I`ve been climbing for 16 years mostly in the southeast. My favorite is sport climbing and bouldering and I max out at 13a/v8, but I`ll get on anything/any grade.I`m really interested in going to Shelf. I`m an RN so my schedule is very flexible. Anybody going to Shelf for Laborday? Thanks alot. Jeff

Chris! there you are! Derek (Blitz...) has some of your draws (we think)

I might be up for something tomorrow afternoon, maybe RRC?

Also, we're heading to Shelf on Saturday for anyone interested.

Steve, I'm heading to RRC with Chris today (Fri) at 4ish. See you there.

We'll be easy to find, look for the precautionary cloud of Raid.

Garden Of the Gods partner wanted for Sept 20-28.

I'm a safe climber with a background of teaching climbing and rescue for Outward Bound. Currently leading 10 sometimes, 9 most of the time, and 8 solid always. Got all the gear.

I'm up for cragging; if the partnership is good, maybe we can apply it to some big alpine objectives (what it's all about). But I just want to climb, so if you have a lot less experience, that's ok, I can do all the leading...

PM me and lets make a plan.

So, kinda' new to the springs and thought I'd just jump on the band wagon with this thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm lookin' for climbing partners to rock som trad with. I'm also up for the occasional after work bouldering/sport evening. I've got a random schedule with school, but I can be flexible to. So, if anybody want's to go climb drop me a line here or at ihowells@uccs.edu.

You get in any skiing this weekend?

Couldn't make it today, but should be out on Thursday. Maybe even tomorrow if anyone is game.

I rode the bike to work...so I can't climb tonight. I will be in the Garden on Thurs.

Skiing was decent on Sat., first day and I can't complain. Hope to do it again this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Hey, a little off topic here, and if its against etiquette, I won't do it again, and forgive me, but I'm trying to rent 2 rooms, private bath on the upper level to one tenant in a home I own in Colorado Springs: New carpet, new paint, new bathroom, etc. My mom lives on the lower level. You would be sharing the large kitchen basically. Prefer quiet respectful female. Flintridge/Academy area. I live in California.

PM if you or you know someone who might be interested. $550/month Thanks.

J
