Good morning, all you European types! At first, I freaked when I saw that someone was up before 5 AM to start the coffee, but when I realized that you were starting it from 5 time zones away I felt much better. So, Cass, has the coffee on your side of the pond improved much since '98 (last time I was in the UK)? The only two places I found decent -- to me; I should qualify that -- coffee were at this restaurant in Glasgow that advertised "coffee imported from Seattle", and at the train station in Edinburgh..... Alas, Penny, I can't comment on coffee in Greece, as I haven't been there yet. Kate

Yah, I missed my chance to go to Ireland while I was over there, as I spent too much money drin.... I mean, ran out of funds and couldn't afford the ferry. Sucked, cause I had crash space in Dublin and everything. k.

Good morning, everyone! Cass, what county are you from? Not that I know a ton about Ireland, but my buddy is from; makes me curious. I made some muffins, today - carrot/raisin/walnut. There's no butter used in them; they taste great, and are very healthy. Try one! Coffee smells wonderful - thanks! Whatinthehell do you people DO that gets you up so early?? T - 7am on the East Coast...

Okay, get out of the coffee shop. It's morning and your far too happy. Now, go back outside and walk in here like the rest of us did. Slow, with heads hanging, tired, and a little smirk on the face that shows you're happy it's Friday! Now go! Do it right! I'll have a cup of coffee waiting for you.

Morning Harry! So, can you scrape off some of that stuff from your boot you served in the coffee earlier this week? I saw really cool stuff for about an hour. When I came out of it, me penis was orange and the Cheetos were gone. I don't know what that means, but give me another cup of that stuff!

Morning, everyone. No pink dresses for me today, thanks. Too much to do and too little time. Have to have a grant proposal for the team in today (worth $2500), get things ready for the team's competition tomorrow, adoption-related therapy this afternoon, then staff development tomorrow, followed immediately by the comp. *whew!* Make sure that coffee is HIGH OCTANE... I'm gonna need it and then some!

morning everyone. In order to counteract Sarah's happiness, I'll be the gloom and doom today. Its 10 am, I'm leaving work at noon, and I'm having a terrible day. I've forgotten about half the stuff I need for my trip to philly, and some of the stuff I need is inaccessible to me so I have to go buy it again. Stupid me and my sieve of a brain. At any rate, pass me a cuppa joe while I go try to survive two hours of patients. edited to tell you all that yes I know I'm melodramatic. [ This Message was edited by: mwbtle on 2003-01-10 06:56 ]

Earl Grey? How can you drink that crappy English junk? How about something Asian? Oolong, perhaps. Much smoother, mellows you out. Good stuff.

Ahhh, Steve. I just happen to like the flavor of Earl Grey. Especially one with a strong flavor of bergamont. It's plain ol' black tea for me this morning in the office. Outta Earl Grey.

Whoooo Weeee! You have a strong set of tastebuds. That Earl Grey is one tough cookie to develope a liking to. I'm a WOP, so cappuccino and espresso all day for me. I drink the Oolong tea durning backpacking/climbing trips because it's much easier to carry than my espresso maker and coffee pot.

I hear ya on taking the coffee pot b-packing (still do on occasion). We found an instant coffee at the local co-op that actually tastes like coffee! That's going with us backpacking this weekend.

I have this little perculator now. It only makes two big cups, but that's all one needs and on my Peak1 stove, it boils quickly so I can make pot after pot. It's a great little pot. Aluminum. I carry that now.

That's what I've got, but I hate carrying two pots for trips that aren't basecamp and explore. Trying to reduce bulk and weight and duplication of items. Thought about those one-cup drip filter thingies.

And you thought this why? Oh! That's right. You weren't around when we opened this place. Lots of pudding wrestling by the ladies, being spanked with fly swatters, S & M, bondage, you name it. This is a family place. It's just a strange family.

Well, she fits right in, doesn't she? Okay, tell me I'm not strange. All this coffee house stuff made me thristy, so I ground some beans and made coffee. However, I'm hungry and it's morning, so there's a pizza in the oven. French Vanilla coffee and pepparoni pizza. I think this will make the "strange combo" list. Mmmmmm!

Josh and I have been communicating about the coffee shop, via PM. Since I mentioned that I was drinking French Vanilla coffee and eating Pepparoni pizza, he thought that was an awesome combo. So, we have therefore decided to put in a pizza oven in the coffee shop. I'll handle the making and baking of the pizzas as I make killer homemade pizzas (including crust) and am a WOP. Either way, I'm up until 6am, typically, so i'll be in everymorning before Anne opens up and I'll prepare and bake several pizzas. Make a list and tell me what you like on yours and I'll have it ready and warm for you when you come in.

You never know, Melissa. Okay, peppers, mushrooms, thick and thin, sausage, bacon, hell, all the meats, all the veggies. Anyone want anything unusual? Pineapple, shrimp, something like that? People have strange tastes, and if you like shrimp, chonch, or fruit on your pizza, because you are friends, I'll gladly ruin a pizza for you. Any one out there need anything special? Diabetic or vegetarian?

MW, I sincerely hope so. However, it's better than the one pizza some guy used to order: baby clams, pearl onions, and m&ms with extra cheese. I know of a really gross pizza story, but I think it's too gross even for the coffee house. Tai

Oh, this might be... I know of a guy who ate an entire large pizza with double extra cheese, and lost the ability to "evacuate". After a week, he was in enough pain to finally go to the ER. After explaining the problem, they gave him a muscle relaxant, lubed up a rubber glove, and proceeded to reach "inside" and pull out handsful of undigested cheese. The worst part was that it was a female doctor - smaller hands, ya know. To the best of my knowledge, this is a true story. No, it did not happen to me. Tai

Spanish and Italian are very similar - only a few words differ (mangiar and comer for example). That isn't to say that what I wrote was entirely correct Italian. I suspect it is, tho I base that on the fact they didn't correct me.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....pizzza..... Ok, Steve. Can you have these ready early tomorrow. I'd like to take them for lunch on my snow hike. one with sundried tomato, garlic, kalamata olive (lots of 'em), marinated artichoke heart and feta One grilled chicken pizza w/ pesto sauce instead of tomato. A light grating of parmesean melted over it please. Prosciutto and mushroom (wild if you can find some good edibles).

Right. That's what I was going to say, Josh. Yeah, Harry! I know what it was, I just replied to his slight ability to speak Italian and answered that I'm the only prostitute here.

Josh, You're right about the similarity and when I traveled to Spain I was understood when speaking Italian. There were just a couple words that immediately caught my eye as Spanish (donde). I lived in Naples for 4 years and studied the language so I could get around. Climb On

To quote: I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. One year is too short a time to virtua-climb among such excellent and admirable colleagues. But I want to make an ANNOUNCEMENT. This is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. Here Coach, this should take care of that nasty bug. I call it "Blu Sky" *slides a bubbly, slightly blue drink Coach's way. As Coach goes to stop the glass, a little bit spills on the bar and immediately smokes, hisses and eats through* [ This Message was edited by: jafarr on 2003-01-10 13:25 ]

/frantically replaces the "Tips" tag from the tips jar to read "Help find Daisy's Easy-Bake Oven" before she can get to the counter to drop her coins. http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=23494&forum=32&7 / Dang...almost made it in time! Hmm.. I had to change...had to slip into something that would help my chances of kicking Wildtrails tush in a game of pool! Everyone that puts a few coins in daisy's jar can oggle for a few moments.

Well at least SOMEONE appreciates it.. dang that Wild trail.. he off and left. I think I was too much of a challenge for him...what do you think? Ok..I am willing to raise some money for a good cause..not only do those that put coins in the jar get to oggle but i'll do some pool playing for the cause as well..so who's "up" for it?

/empties pockets, wallet and tosses checkbook into the jar and proceeds to ogle/ Good thing I'm behind the bar, I've seen what's in her closet. Um, you'll have to fix your own drinks, I'm....sightseeing . Hey Otter, take all your shots from this side of the table, eh?
