Hi I am looking for a climbing partner in the Calgary area. I just started to climb about five months ago. I am into climbing sport routes outdoor or indoor. I started climbing in Thailand and there I can lead 6B+ I don't know how that translates in the northamerican rating system. My e-mail is adamtron77@yahoo.ca

I sleep in Guelph, but I'll be out on the Escarpment cliffs daily starting May 1st. You can try to email or PM me, but you'll probably be more likely to run into me at the cliffs than on a computer in the summer. kathrynkuntz@hotmail.com

So yeah... I'm also in the Calgary area, and occasionally look for partners in the alpine/ice realm... more occasionally for sport/trad/bouldering... I've got weekends and most evenings free (damned day job), and my particulars are as follows: Sport: 11+/12- (Anyone open to the evening bomb out to Canmore?) Trad: Granite/Quartzite 11-ish, Limestone 5.6 - 5.11- depending on how dumb/bold I feel... I have a "large armoury" of protection devices. Ice: 5+, Mixed: M7-ish... There is still ice! I am not living in denial. Alpine: let's talk... the "to do" list includes Sidestreet, Supercouloir, E ridge Temple, Becky-Chouinard Howser, N Face N peak Victoria, something or other on Diadem or Cromwel... Cheers, eh...

I boulder in the V6 range and I have led up to 5.11 (so far), I go out as often as I can (depending on work and school). wakani@hotmail.com Jon

Hello, my name is Brock and I live in the Vancouver area. I enjoy long walks on the beach at sunset, trad, alpine and aid climbing. Lead trad to mid 10s, sport to ??, aid to A3+ and don't have much experience on ice. Climb at the Cliffhanger in Vancouver, not Coquitlam. If you need a partner for Squamish , the gym or any other local area, let me know.

My name is Sam, and I am far awy from most of you folks, living in Montreal, Quebec. We are a liberal province now, so people should not be afraid to venture into the area. I lead sandbag 5.8 at Allez-up gym, sport 5.8-5.9, trad 5.6. I am around sometimes, send me a message if you are ever in town. I know all the cool outdoor spots (well some of them anyway). Have a nice day, Sam :D

Will be in St. catharines starting in May, will be there till August, and I'm on the look out for partners (hence the other theard I have up). In september I'll be back in Halifax, and I'll get anoher couple of months of climbing in. I think I'll also make a trip back in June for BoulderFest in NS. I'll climb anything, I want to get into trad, and I havn't had much oppurtunity for sport (there are no real sport crags around here), have done a lot of bouldering during the past year. I climb at a 5.10 level I think, don't know what I boulder. If it's summer I want to be outdoors climbing, but I'll do the gym when I have to.

I live in Vancouver. I'll have varying days off beginning in May and will be available then (must finish exams first). I've been climibing at Cliffhanger Vancouver this winter. I'll climb any 10a-b there, but sometimes it takes me a crack or two at a 10c or d. My mission this summer is trad. I don't have wheels. looks like i'm the climber farthest east to post thus far. i'm in saint john (that's NB for those out west, not NFLD) and have a great local crag in Welsford - world class granite. great stuff. really just my first season of climbing (started in sept last year, but only got outside a couple of times), but i'm sport leading 9's, toproping 10's and 11s and am just starting to trad lead. i hope to lead a 9 on trad by the end of the summer and a sport 10 by the same. i do unfortunately have to get a job this summer (i only get two months break from my college) so i won't be free all the time (unless i'm fortunate enough to not find a job ;) but pm or email me if you're in southern new brunswick...

Hi there,my name is Shawn and I live in Waterloo Ontario. I don't even have shoes yet, but I am very eager to find someone in my area that knows more than I do (about climbing) and who could "show me the ropes" (oh that WAS bad...) Obviously single females who are down to earth and athletic would take priority,...lol.... I'm just kidding! I am more into learning how to boulder than anything but I am not overly picky. I am pretty active and athletic to begin with and am a quick study. I love the outdoors and think that bouldering would be an awesome way to further challenge myself while getting out in nature. Sort of a soul thing. If you know anybody please e-mail me at sage@golden.net L8R

THUNDER BAY ONTARIO Have gear for both top rope and multi-pitch sport routes. Also have a car. Will be moving to Thunder Bay May 13 2003 with 2 climbing partners (one is my GF the other is my classmate). We all boulder as well. We have all climbed "the bluffs" on a previous visit last summer but thats the only area we have seen/climbed thus far. Feel free to PM me! ~jc Also i would like to make a suggestion for this thread. Entering your region in the first line of the post will make it much easier to browse relevant posts. Cheers.

I live in Winfield which is just outside of Kelowna, BC. I have gear for top rope and sport and climb in the low 10s. I usually climb with the same group of people but we are always willing to meet new people.

Hi, I am from Burlington, I don't get alot of free time anymore but I love climbing at Nemo, Buffalo crag, and other local areas. Sport or Trad I have all the gear required, not into bouldering. Drop me a line I may be able to get out and pull down.

/me jumps on bandwagon Hello, my name is Mike. And I have a climbing addiction. Hi Mike! Yeah...currently semi-employed. I work evenings, so have the days to mess around outside. Usually found getting shown-up by Sheppe, but hey that's ok. Though I don't often test it, I could lead to around the mid 10 range, and follow probably up to 11 on a REALLY good day. By really good, I mean better than any day I've ever had before. ;-) Course I mooch and use Sheppe's rope, so I really am gearless. I have an assload of packs though! Yeah baby! Mike... EDIT: Really should say I'm in Kelowna, B.C., just incase the location dealie doesn't show it...

My usual climbing partner is away for most of the summer so I am looking for someone to climb with(male or female, does not matter). I am a solid 5.9 climber and can do some 5.10's. I have only top roped and want to find some one who will take me to the next level. I work 12 hr shifts and have plenty of time off to climb. You can contact me at river_west@msn.com or IM

I'm a new-ish female climber in Calgary. I've been climbing for about a year, mostly at CCC. Been on a few outdoor sport climbs, just learning to lead. I'll need a climbing partner this winter, my fiance, and climbing partner, works on the rigs and is away most of the winter. Currently climbing 5.9, want to work my way up through the winter.

Brutus of Wyde and Nurse Ratchet. Looking for folks to hike with over Sentinel Pass (Larch Valley Trail) in Lake Louise Area between August 11 and 15th 2003 -- As I understand it we need a group of 6 to do the hike because of the grumpy grizzly bear. We'll be trying the trad route on Grand Sentinel if things work out.

Hi everyone. I am a fairly new climber, having finally gotten up the courage to try it back in May...then I immediately bought a membership and equipment. :D I climb about once a week at Gravity Climbing Gym in Hamilton. I don't have a regular climbing partner; I just usually try to hook up with someone once I get there. So far, I have met a lot of great people, one of whom told me about this site. I have successfully completed all the 5.7's that they have right now, and I am working on getting through all the 5.8's. I still have a lot of work to do on my strength to get myself to do more than a couple of moves in the bouldering caves, but I keep trying anyway! I'd love to find someone to climb with on a regular basis, whether it is with someone more advanced who can "teach me the ropes" or with someone at my level so we can learn together. PM me if you are interested.

Hi all, name is Jerry. Home for me is Vancouver, but I spend most of my time now at school in Hanover, New Hampshire. The next break I'll have is in September where I'll be spending time in Kingston + Toronto for a bit, then Vancouver for the rest of the month. Since I'll be on vacation, will always have time to climb! I just got into the sport not too long ago, can do 5.9 T/R, lead sport 5.8, and probably V0/1-ish for bouldering (never really checked). PM me or drop me a line at jerryw@icebox.dartmouth.edu

I Live in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I climb in Welsford, New Brunswick, 30mins from Saint John. My local crag is called "The Cochrane Lane Cliffs" with over 350 documented routes. The approach is a 15-30min hike, depending on what area of the crag your headed to. I would love to take people out climbing if they're in my area. Contact: Andrew Martin martina@nbnet.nb.ca http://freudian.homeip.net/ Cheers

Hey folks ... I've already posted once on this list, but since I've moved across the country, I figure it is time to post again. :) I'm now in Vancouver (well, Burnaby, actually), and am looking for peeps to climb with indoors and out. I have a nice 60m rope that needs more use, and a rack of draws. I'll lead sport up to hard 11s, boulder to high single digits, and would love to learn trad ... in fact, that is one of the reasons I moved here! :D PM me if you'd like to get outside ... I don't have a car, but am willing to help with gas $$ ....

I live in the Guelph area and climb on the Niagara Escarpment. Currently, I can top-rope 5.10d comfortably and I trad-climb up to 5.7 on lead (depending on the availability of pro). I have all the necessary equipment for top-roping as well as a full trad rack. I climb almost every weekend and welcome new partners (particularily those interested in trad). Top-roping is usually done at Kelso or Buffalo Crag and trad-climbing is at Mt. Nemo. Contact me via email or my home number. Thanks,

Vancouver female climber looking for male or female partners. I am 26 and just doing 6's and 7's right now, with shoes, harness, and can get my hands on a rope and gear if necessary. I am learning how to second as well and am looking for partners who can teach and challenge me. I am able to climb during the week and weekeds and will climb in a gym (if I have to :x ) I have also just become addicted to bouldering. Want to play?

Anyone want to go to the Glen?? This is my first summer at the Glen and I want to get in as much as I can before the snow flies. I live in Stoney Creek (near Hamilton) and have a crash pad and a mode of transportation...and am willing to do a pick up! Oh, and I climb like a girl (probably because I am one)
