So I decided to set up our very own rc.com pool for the NCAA men's tourney. There is no cost, and for that matter, no real prizes if you win other than bragging rights. (Although I would like to propose that the winner gets a free beverage when meeting up with another rc.commer for the next year.) All you have to do is: 1) Go to ESPN.com 2) Click on "Sign up Now" for the Tournament Challenge 3) Once there, search for a group. "rc.com" is our group name. 4) Sign into the group. (Password is "rc.com") 5) Register and create your bracket. (Use your rc.com user ID as your bracket name so you can be identified.) Brackets must be completed before the first game on Thursday. There is no reason not to sign up. Even if you know nothing about basketball, this is the time for big upsets, so anybody can win. And who wants to pass up a chance at free beverages for a year, huh??

Done Edit to add: MR, you better get in on this. I have Terps losing to the Badgers in round 4 and Duke losing to Pitt in round 2. You'll have to wait till the Ides to see the rest.

I'm in. So at least there's one of us in the pool now that doesn't have Wisconsin winning it all. edit: Now I can't remember ... Ryan, are you a Wisconsin fan or Michigan?

This should be interesting. My picks are completely random with no prior knowledge of anything that went on this year. Plus mys username is all messed up. I am Drinker 1 which just makes no sense at all.

This is ridiculous ... I entered one of my five already-filled-out espn brackets where I had all sorts of ridiculous things, like Wisconsin in the final four, and everytime I edit the bracket to make it more sensible, it reverts back. If I end up with a terrible bracket, this is why. edit: nevermind, it's showing me the right bracket now.

Michigan, but they pretty much have sucked since the whole Chris Webber fiasco in '93. Friggin Fab Five my ass.

The only think I know about NCAA b-ball is that the Cats are having a rough year, and that I really don't like UK fans all that much. But, that said, GO UK! And I even have them winning, if for no other reason then it would piss off all the talk radio id10ts that have been bitching about Tubby Smith...

Basketball is another one of those sports that is way more fun to play than it is to watch. Kinda like soccer. I almost compared it to baseball, but baseball sucks just as bad to play as it does to watch. Maybe more so in fact because if you are playing, you can't change the channel.

I find college bball to be quite exciting to watch, especially at tourney time. Most games go down to the wire and anybody can win it. Plus there's so much emotion. And the best reason of all...the Big Dance always takes place during St. Pat's day. Oh & Go Badgers!!

Football, Hockey and Soccer (read world cup or EPL) are the only ones I can sit and watch on TV. I'll occasionally watch a basketball game though. ONly in March though.
