Well, technically my spring season already started, and it wasn't too bad. First lead was at the top of my flash grade pyramid, and I didn't flash it. But I didn't flail too badly either, and I get a bonus for sprot climbing in a snowstorm, so I'll count it as good.
There were ony 6 weeks of "winter break" in terms of touching the real rock.

I'll be totally out of shape since I managed to pull a muscle in my neck and won't be climbing for a while. Climbing season feels like it already started here. Lots out climbing this past weekend.

start? Ive been climbing in Josh for the last 10 days. You guys on the east coast got a raw deal
Josh has been climbable for longer than 10 days. I've been climbing here throughout the winter and I could only dream of the sunny 30-40 degree mornings back at Jtree. We might get a raw deal, but you need to sack up.

My goal for this off season was to maintain where I left off last season without having to hit the gym very often and avoid injury.
I'm still climbing as hard as I was at the end of the last season, injury free, and even down a couple of pounds compared to where I was in sept of last year!

The short winter days here in CO are often warm enough for sport cragging, but anything more committing is not too enticing. Combine that with the fact that I'm overflowing with sport partners but have very few partners for trad climbing, and you see why I haven't placed a piece of gear in months.
Sad, really, but I plan to change that this weekend.

I think he meant... last 10 days straight.
This is correct. Josh is probably climbable 5 out of every 7 days in winter. I'll continue to sleep in and climb the nice ones and leave the sacking up for those poor bastards out east.

Ahh I see...
Well then, I guess my newly eastern shriveled sack will have to remain jealous for a few more weeks till it's my turn to go home and have fun in the sun.
