Think it's as simple as John B and the rest being very kind spirits who didn't see the benefit of a protracted legal wrangle.

I remember him starting some charitable thing to collect money for someone/thing, but I can't recall any details. Someone please give me the nickle tour to remind me what happened.

The shady part was that Tim knew before creating the benefit website or raising any money that Bachar had health insurance and did not need the money to pay for his hospital bills. Tim did not mention this and made it sound as if Mr. Bachar desperately needed money to survive.

Also it came to light that Tim's need for money to pay for medical care was not a recent development that came at him out of the blue and required the use of the fundraising money. Instead it was that Tim needed the money to get bill collectors off his back for past medical treatment he had received.

Plus, if Tim was completely innocent, he would have cleared his own name by posting as much. The man had dozens to hundreds of posts a day until this all went down, and then.... nothing.

The short answer is Bachar was seriously injured while climbing. Tgreene started up a website to help raise money for the uninsured Bachar to help cover his medical bills. After a good amount of money was raised Tgreene then told everyone that Bachar told him he didn’t actually need help financial help to pay for his medical bill. Tgreene then informed everyone that he decided to keep some of* the money raised to pay for his own medical bills (Tgreene’s own medical bills).

After that Tgreene left the site and I'm not sure if he's ever returned.

i don't know where you got this information, but this is not true, or if it was no one was privy to it.

in the original thread greene requested some of the money from bachar's fund to cover his health expenses. he did ask for the money and it was given to him freely.

as well, when tim did start the fundraising, it was not known if bachar had health insurance coverage.

geez, this is how rumors start. not that greene is my favorite person, but all of what is written above is speculation or untrue.

i do thing greene was a sack of crap for not standing up and answering all the questions surrounding this deal and answering his critics.

as wideguy said mal and bachar were stand up for dealing with it. case closed.
