tgreene always brought a bit of a "crazy-up-in-a-tower" vibe to all the gun discussions. Then he posted that nude self portrait of himself and I vomited a little in my mouth.

I never liked him, but the last straw was the Bachar charity BS. I don't have the full story by any means, but learned enough to know that tgreene deserves a fucking cockpunch if he meets anyone from this site. Whatever he did, there's no reason to hurt the livestock. What did his chickens ever do to you?

I liked when tgreene was flaming jono13 for trying to act all tough, and since he'd said was afraid of penguins, made this .gif of jono13 getting violated: Classic!!

Still hoping those funds got turned over to Mal or whoever... but not rehashing that whole thing again I never understood how that didn't result in legal action.

I remember him starting some charitable thing to collect money for someone/thing, but I can't recall any details. Someone please give me the nickle tour to remind me what happened.

The short answer is Bachar was seriously injured while climbing. Tgreene started up a website to help raise money for the uninsured Bachar to help cover his medical bills. After a good amount of money was raised Tgreene then told everyone that Bachar told him he didn’t actually need help financial help to pay for his medical bill. Tgreene then informed everyone that he decided to keep some of* the money raised to pay for his own medical bills (Tgreene’s own medical bills). After that Tgreene left the site and I'm not sure if he's ever returned. *edited to correct an error

I read thru that, and, to me, it looks as if Tim got roasted when he did everything as he said he would do.

The shady part was that Tim knew before creating the benefit website or raising any money that Bachar had health insurance and did not need the money to pay for his hospital bills. Tim did not mention this and made it sound as if Mr. Bachar desperately needed money to survive. Also it came to light that Tim's need for money to pay for medical care was not a recent development that came at him out of the blue and required the use of the fundraising money. Instead it was that Tim needed the money to get bill collectors off his back for past medical treatment he had received.

Plus, if Tim was completely innocent, he would have cleared his own name by posting as much. The man had dozens to hundreds of posts a day until this all went down, and then.... nothing. Whatever his medical condition at the time, I find it hard to believe that he couldn't muster up a follow up to assuage fellow user's fears. Like I said, his whole track record and exit was skeevy.

I was told about Tim’s dealings by one of the more respected individuals here on the board. I'll leave it up to him to come forward and admit that he told me this. This person knows who he is. If he doesn’t come forward by Monday morning then I will consider what I was told to be untrue. If this turns out to be the case then I am sorry for repeating such a rumor and I will remove my statement. Either way I too feel that is part of history is closed. Tim got his money, and a bunch of us banded together in order to create a fund to help out injured climbers. All said the fundraising was a great success that could help out many people.
