Yea, that video is really cool. But DG is climbing on a slab boulder, ie, less than vertical. Those holds he uses work on such a climb because they keep your body stable and allow you to pull some with them while you readjust your feet. anyone who has climbed hard slabs knows that you cannot power your way through, its all about feet and balance. Using your fingernails to help you balance sounds like some good beta to me.

I've got a double sawback that sez kevin powell or darryl hensel coulda hiked the prob with the 'tiny grips" in eb's, like, 25 years ago. hell, those holds were so big you could actually SEE 'em! They should rename the problem "Jr. Varsity Flabob". :wink:
