But that's not bad, it's honest and actualy does carry lots of real gear. 1. Dirt bags (I've left off "reliable" for a reason, here) 2. Serious career folk; engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, etc. Niether work out very well for menial, low wage, paid-by-the-hour, work-for-someone-else type jobs. While we all want the clerk to know what the difference is between 1" webbing and 8mm cord, I think it's a long lost wish for idealist climber-consumers. You are wiser to get armed with information from other climbers for your gear purchase well before going to the climbing shop.
In reply to: Don't you think he'd want to hire solid climbers? ...A couple guys who were rad climbers used to work there (Jason, and some other dude). Pity they left.
And I almost forgot: increasing net profit trumps offering better wages very time. Never under estimate a business owner's ultimate objective. They do not get up early and go to bed late to discuss which climbing shoe has the best sticky rubber - they want to send you out the door with a new pair of climbing shoes.

i'd like someone who told me what they knew....honestly! cause i've done my fair share of jobs where i've bullsh$%@#$% my way through questions. bad customer serivce. if they dont know what they are talih about tell me who does. i would appreciate that most!
