Hi everybody I'm new to this site, and was curious if these trips are open to anyone? My climbing partner bailed to Utah and your trips sound cool. Do I have to have partner to go with?

I should be leaving Corvallis, Oregon on Wednesday about 5 or so. I plan on staying till sunday (prolly midday or so). If anybody wants to tag along, I'm going to have open seats. Let me know VIA PM and I'll arrange something. Also, I have no problem picking someone up from pretty much wherever in Western OR, Portland/Metro, whatever. Let me know if you wanna ride with me. Hey, I just logged on to this forum and am from Eugene so this sounds like fun. Let me know if you are still open to others. I can lead 5.8/5.9, so if there are others at this level it would be sweet. Can someone either email me or call me and let me know the scoop? My number is 731-1725 and email is annnaleemcbee@yahoo.com AND if this doesn´t work, and any of you Oregonians are interested in climbing on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays, let me know. I´d be stoked.

Is there anything special that is still needed for the benefit of the group? I'll be bringing my digital camera and umpteen million disks. What all is needed?? Organizers give us peons a list to fulfill of stuff that might be needed (like a slackline) .

It's BLUE! Polish stays BLUE!! You gotta keep it with the rest of the Gatherings of Rc.com. I've been asked many questions on where to camp. There is an area called "grasslands"(I have no direction on this as of yet) Smith Rock camping is easiest... right when you drive into the park...Camping is to the left...park and walking into the camping area... no fires in either area. smithrock.com also has tons of information. redmond or Bend have great places to stay. All cellphone work in the park well. Meeting up at the ticket(day pass) booth early in the morning like 7:30 for cooler temperature climbing. Then: re-meeting up at noon, meeting at the picnic tables...at the top parking area for lunch and then back down to the park and chase the shade. Do have an agenda on what climbs we/ you're doing...only because of the busy-ness of the park. Starting there early in the am like 7:30 morning glory and the dihidrals...ventureing to the back side or the gullies as the day goes on...redwall...Basically to chase the shade. I have a stick clip. never before used Bring your gear head lamp Water Food and the WILL to climb WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! too fricken exciting T I will be adding to this as beta comes in. Portland-ites! I might be down with this myself. I've never caught up with and RC event, but am pretty amped up to get to Smith again. I have a suburban and can take a lot of bodies with gear. Keep me in the loop as the plans get solidified. Hope to make it, ba

Alright, this is my understanding of the campground situation. The "Grasslands" also called Skull Hollow (that's what the signs say, people call it the Grasslands) is free. It's about 5 minutes away, not easy to find if you don't know the way, but not at all hard to find with directions. I don't know the exact directions, but I can get them easy enough. The camping at smith rock is pay camping. It's very close to the climbing area (for those of you that haven't been there). It's about as close as you could get without camping right next to the wall. Either place would work just fine. Organizers, let us know where we are to go/meet. T: The stick clip will come in handy, I wish I had one last time, just used good spotters I'll post directions to the grasslands for anybody that wants to camp there as soon as I get my greedy little hands on some (should be today yet ) Hope to see ya'll there. Gonna be fun.
