Well, since I'm not in the best shape...i.e.... heavy... I would want to go for the roped climbing also, as well as the bouldering. We're only a 6.5 hr drive from Hueco and need to get there this winter if possible.

I just checked flights for mid-december and they are running around $310 - $ 430. Not bad really.
What kind of time frame are you thinking? And I'm far more interested in the roped stuff than the bouldering so that could work out.

Bouldering bores me stupid... although a place like Hueco, with all it's ramped up to be, could get me interested with the shear quantity of V0-V2 problems. The roped stuff looks great... perhaps a little run-out in places, but plenty to do, especially on Nth Mountain.
NA, I've heard holiday times can be really packed, so I was thinking post-new year.... maybe even late Jan-early Feb. Either that or before Turkey day, which is kind of soon.

I wish I had access to a decent pool. Nothing out here except an expensive small Y pool. I used to swim three times a week for an hour straight, coupled with three climbing workout sessions I lost and kept off a heap of weight.
