It's not so shiny anymore... Some of the stuff was new. I make an honest attempt to get out every weekend and plug gear.

so, i have built up my rack over the winter, trying to spread out the cost, and this is what i have gathered so far.

All passive pro, and primarily carrying quickdraws. That might make for some fun experiences.

That don't wander.

Edit: OP mentioned the Yam. If I recall correctly from a brief visit, short pitches that don't wander don't fit the bill.

the draws have longer slings that can replace the dogbones, and i will be combining my rack with a partner's for long routes. also, the rack is a work in progress, it is still growing...

I was typing in my CC details and was like "fuck it, I'll do this later, maybe I'll have an address for long enough so I don't have to wait for spring break".

Decided to inspect my rock gear and ended up taking some pics.

Just the pro:

Not pictured, ropes, harnessed, helmets, shoes, runners, tones of biners, bolting gear, piton that I couldn't find, pitons that are on projects routes, pitons that have been left as fixed gear, piton hammer, ice gear (6 tool, screw, pickets, hooks, alpine axe,...), yadda yadda... all that other shit including way to many belay devices.

I'm pretty sure they are back in, the 10mm ones at least. I ordered 2 each of the 12's, 24's and 48's. I was on the site yesterday getting an order together for my local shop to put in. The shop put the order in while I was there and said everything was in-stock and should be there shortly.

Well, its that or drink pricey beer and not be able to afford the trip. And honestly, PBR is one of the best cheap beers around. Head and shoulders above Miller Lite or Keystone Lite or the American Beer (the famous white can that said, in simple, unassuming, black block letters "Beer").

What a sad, sheltered life you must lead to think that the only thing that makes a beer taste good is the quality of the beer itself. A 30 pitch day when you can barely open the can because your tips are too raw makes any beer the best beer in the universe. Shit, a solid 5 pitch day can make any beer taste great.

If everyday (and by extension, every beer) is like that, why would you spend an arm and a leg on fragile packaging and nuanced brew?

Last desert trip I went on, we were with a bunch of beer snobs. Everyday, we all cracked open the Tecate first (or the PBR, after the first case ran dry).

Our rack, incidentally:

You think I'm a beer snob? I'm the furthest thing from it. I should have been more clear when I said I don't know how you guys drink that shit...meaning BEER in general. IMO the only thing good about beer is that someone else drinks it. I know, I know...you guys luvz it but it still doesn't change how it affects my gag reflex.
