Dawm, bad time. That is the same time as the rumney ruckus which I can't go to cause I'm supposed to be in wv. Some climbing friends and their relatives in wv. said, come on down. Let's climb a little rock, drink some beer, and shoot some guns. What could I say. I would put a laughing smiley in here but they are all so ghey. I hate to miss it though.

A big, big, big "maybe." That time frame is about 4-5 weeks post surgery. It will depend greatly (ok, entirely,) on how the neck feels, if I'm up to driving that far, and if I have any time off from work. I won't be climbing, that's a certainty, but I might show up to drink beer, catch up on news, and escape the heat. Might even bring fixings for chili.

Maybe it's reno's special recipe. I might even try to put up a new route over the weekend and name it in honor of said chili -- "A Break in the Wind".

Why would you want to climb South Platte granite? Surely there must be a good supply of crumbly limestone in the Great White North. Woohoo, break out the cold Kokanee, eh. Shoot, I'll even through in an FA at he-who-shall-not-be-named if you make it down this way.

Other than that....

Other than that....I'd like a really cute sheep or two. Preferably young, lamb is fine; domestic works, although a little wild bighorn strange is also OK. But make sure he/she/it has been recently sheared and washed. Ewe never know where those sheep have been. Well allrighty then. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Hey, which campground in 11 Mile are we going to use? I've a friend from Ft. Collins that might be joining us later on Saturday, and want to be able to give decent directions.

We'll be at the riverside campsites. I've reserved sites 15 and 17. Others can reserve sites here: http://www.recreation.gov/...TabIndex=CampingSpot sites are $10/ night plus $9 reservation fee. Also keep in mind that you have to either pay the $5 fee to get in or the $35 annual pass. Although this is a State park, the regular CO state park pass in NOT valid here. Camp sites are also limited to 8 people and 2 vehicles so some car pooling at the park entrance may be in order.
