Ended up traversing a wall outside a hostel we were staying in once on the way home from the pub. Lots of nice grips was good fun till the security guard came out and told us to stop making so much noise.

That is by far the best foto that i have ever seen in my life! Seems impossible but quite ovioussly it isn't...props to Doug, m' man! ...this got me thiking....(doesn't happen too often.....( just distracts me anyway.... :? ))...is there a separate system for measuring the toughness of some Urban climbs? like idunno ...instead of V3 call it a U(urban)...U2+ with an R(roof)...R4- crux  ... P.S. Sounds like im overthinking it a bit... ...anyway...got ideas?

When I was like 6 or 7 years old, whenever my mom would take me to the mall I'd alway get bitched at for climbing the decorative pattern of bricks jutting out from the wall in the entrance hallway. It was sweet.

While Healyje definitely scores on class, this was a fun one too. :D Climbing is just something that fits in so easily with school architecture. And it also doesn't help that climbers are the types to be doing anything BUT school while there. http://www.rockclimbing.com/...mp.cgi?Detailed=8867

ColdClimb - Actually now that I look at your shot there are some marked similarities between the move off your corner and the transition off the column [corner] and into the roof in the shot I posted...

Today was my 5th(?) time climbing at my old high school. Most of the buildings are made out of these blocks (like cinder blocks) but much rougher and contoured. The Art Building has 2 places where the wall is broken up into 1' wide sections of rock with many 1' spaces in between. This goes up about 14'. The New Gym is made from the same blocks but on the exterior the wall has protruding sections of rock about 3' wide and 8" deep before joining the wall. This goes up probably 20'. If you're in SLO you should check it out.
