In reply to: I somehow ended up receiving 2 of them ( blue & silver), so I gave the silver one to my regular partner ( SteelHands). maybe you got mine, or else it was the tooth fairy. At any rate, still haven't received one. :x

Mine was really late too, so when placing an order for a set of Zeros, I mentioned it to Joe, and they sent the blue one out wuth that order. Then about a week later, the silver one arrived in a large shoe-sized box from what appeared to be a clearing house somewhere in Florida, based upon the info on the shipping label.

In reply to: I first tried the Paradox this past Saturday while gym climbing w/ an 11mm gym rope, and immediately came to the conclusion that it binds too much on an 11mm rope. When lowering a climber, the drag was so bad that I barely had to hold with a brake hand, because of the friction in the device. -Tim Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I didn't see a whole lot of reviews despite the fact this was 9 pages and wanted to add my 2 cents. I had the same issues when using the Paradox in a gym (I bought mine a few months ago). I actually had problems taking in slack on my partner's TR ascent, to the point where I felt unsafe and we used her belay device instead. I have not had the option to use this outside of a gym or on a thinner rope, so I can't comment on that, but I would say this belay device is not well suited for gym climbing. I would be interested to see any further reviews anyone might have.
