Limestone sucks!
I say that every time I try (and fail) mantling on some climb/boulder problem with non-existent holds at Castle Hill. :D
Thankfully, even that kind of limestone provides the occasional crack, and there are plenty of other kinds of limestone that actually have holds.

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, does limestone suck or do you just suck

I wounder why so many people go to Thailand?

Well.... I certainly am not chossy, loose, polished, slippery, only protectable by bolts or fixed pins, or any of the other levels of crappiness that limestone seems to accomplish. The trouble with limestone is that it's water soluable.... probably the cause of most of these problems.

Why do people go to Thiland? Cost, novelty, the fact your travelling, to tell your friends you've been.... me, i'd much rather go to Corsica, Nunavut or any other place with perfect granite walls, and leave the limestone to the sport climbers and boulderers.....

Basalt is my close second to granite, even though it seems to make my hands sweat profusely.
