Climbing gives me a sense of self, and teaches me patience. Its an amazing challenge, it keeps me focused and free. There is nothing I have found yet other than climbing, that gives me that absolute release from the world. I love it!!!

I climb because it just feels right. Being outdoors its you and the rock and the air all around you. All you feel is the adrenaline, the bond with nature, and the rock. I love when your body is telling you, "You can't do this move, you're arms are pumped, this climb is too hard." But then you're mind overcomes and you continue up the rock.

chicks dig the harness kidding. it's exhilerating to do something that takes all your energy, sweat, tears, blood, will, ambition, and might just to accomplish something. it's for the feeling you get at the top. you know what i mean...

I first started because I've just always wanted to try it, but then I was hooked. Plus, it's the absolute best way for me to get away from my worries for a little while. When I'm on the mountain, I'm not thinking about stuff that I need to get done at home. I'm thinking what move I need to make next.

personally for me its a mental sport. if you cant visualize a solution to a boulder problem how can you see yourself solving everyday problems.

To me..climbing involves the whole being. Body, mind, and spirit. When I first step onto a wall focusing starts, while beneath, the fear starts to build. It's like all that exists is that very moment (yeah, it's a Zen thing:) )The higher I go, the more I have to remain centered to physically/mentally push on. It's such a trip to see little edges and holes, and to utilize them to climb the rock. It's a rush like no other. To stand back after the climb and say "Damn, I climbed that!!!".
