UPDATE, SHIPPED May 25th and 26th. Enjoy and PM me with any comments. New carabiners arrive early next week. The first few RockClimbing.Com members who want to test them and get back to us with some feeback here is your chance. Order from our site and use the discount code word * jimdavis* and you will get a sizeable discount on the biners and draws. This is for a very limited time and only for the first few members who order. Comments on the product can be sent to my rockclimbing.com mail box. Carabiners will ship late next week. We appreciate the help you members have give us with product names and feeback in the past. FYI: feeback in the belay device was useful, we have now made a device that works better with larger diameter ropes like 10.5 and 11mm. Joe Mad Rock www.madrockclimbing.com Oh Yea, they are already CE certified, UIAA tested and 3-sigma and individually tested to 50% of the rated load. The safety issue is not what we need tested. Joe

I'll be honest.. the Jim davis thing put me over.. i ordered a couple to see how they are.. i like the idea of the bent wiregate.. seems like it'll clip even easier than straight wire gates. still cracking up..

I just ordered a few ultra light bent, and ultra tech bent...couldn't find any draws, or runners though (since I'm wanting to make quickdraws out of them)....thanks for the discount madrock...I'm excited to get these...I think the bent gates will make clipping a little easier.

Thanks Joe, I limited myself to 10 of the wiregates and am going to match them up with a superfly on my draws. I'll let you know what I like or dislike in a couple weeks.

Any chance you folks are coming out with a wiregate biner with a no-snag Madlok gate? Kathy

madrock website wrote: Individualy tested: 25% Rated Load I can't justify buying them since I have so many superflys at the moment, but I told some friends. If they end up buying some I'll get my paws on them and write you a thorough review. They look well designed with a large radius over which the rope will run. The price is great. Keep up the good work! One thing: The web site says tested to 25% strength and you say 50%. Which is it?

i'm going to give them a go an inexpensive biner comparing in stregth/size/shape with the Wild Country helium and/or trango superfly?!?! i'm down. and yes.. i know the helium has a hooded gate... but for half the price.. i'll deal! REVIEW PENDING! oh and check out all the shoes on clearance. i know many don't like the madrock shoes... but i've got a pair of the pheonix shoes that everyone hates.... i kinda like them. they broke in really quickly and if you climb with 'quiet feet' they'll last. i've had mine as my alternate gym shoes for a year ... and there's still plenty-o-rubber left. (my primary shoes are Sportiva Mythos)
