The Grass is greener...

When I started here, the clique kept "forgetting" to come and get me for morning coffee. Being excluded for something you haven't even had a CHANCE to do yet really sucks. I don't mind not going for lunch, or other extra stuff, but that 10am coffee thing really seemed to bug me.

No prob rob send that Tab my way, and I'll get Tabpro installed this weekend. Thanks again! I actually played guitar last night with a buddy. This is for jam group #2 whcih has never met in it's entirety. The bass player has been busy and the drummer (who's house we are supposed to play at) has been flakey. As for group #1, the sounds is really coming together but again schedules conflict every other week it seems. Frustrating...

XXL me!

When I woke up this mornin I felt a pang.
I was hungerin for some apple pie.
Stumble in the bathroom, hung my hog a little bit.
Washed the sleep out of my eye.
Oh yeah, its gonna be a fine day.
Scratched myself a bit.
Poured me out a bowl-a corn chex.
Closest thing I could find to apple pie.
Lingerin taste of toothpaste
Made the milk go down a bit funny.
But you know, them chex they do satisfy.
Oh yeah, thisll be a fine day.
So, after my mornin rise-n-shine and eat-n-clean.
Had my mind set to hit them streets.
Drizzle from the night left cold puddles out.
Had my black stomp-boots on my feet.
Its my day.

Good morning.

Long time, no visit to coffee thread. Well, almost a week or so.

Here's a little tip, just in case you were wondering:

Laptop computer + bottle of beer + neurotic cat = BAD THING.

So I've been stuck with sporadic access (work or whenever the roommate is home and not using his laptop) until I can scrape a few bucks for a new machine.

*sigh*

Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make myself some cat fur liners for my mountaineering boots. Sly

Morning peeps. No Texas update for you - have been in the middle of intense & interesting discussion about religion, life and personal responsibility.

Not sure if I should bring the topic up again - it's something we need to discuss in person not over phone & email. Unsure

Yep we seem to be heavy lately - between that discussion and how best to progress our relationship & involve me with his daughters...it has all been heavy. That is why I am hesitant to bring up the kids issue again.

He's more of a wine drinker but I don't know where his office is exactly - it's back in Boulder somewhere...and that's about 35 miles away. Wink

I sent The Onion and he enjoyed the article...then turned the conversation back to "heavy". He talked about Lincoln & his views on religion. Lincoln was one depressed MOFO.

So I asked if our earlier discussions were going to resurface. I feel like vomiting; I feel nervous.

Yes she was nutty in the head. I wonder what her clinical diagnosis was or would be today. I'm not sure I could have lived with someone like that.

I told him I'm going to worry if all of his heroes were depressed martyrs. Unimpressed

I have never known anybody that said Lincoln was their hero. Heck, I didn't even know he was religious, or a martyr for that matter.

anyway, chugging back a Monster to stay awake this afternoon. I have lots going on tonight too, I feel like I'm, never going to get caught up on sleep, I just hope I get some good rest before Red Rocks in a couple weeks.

I think anyone who was somewhat aware of Lincoln's life, his struggles and his accomplishments would admire him. He was an incredible man and I would put him in my category of heroes.

And he was a very introspective, thoughtful and expressive man - he wrote a tremendous amount on many topics including religion.

Wouldn't call Lincoln a martyr either; the way I wrote that wasn't quite what I meant. I meant that in a general way about all of his heroes... was hoping he admired people for who they were - not necessarily because they suffered.

What are you up to that you're not sleeping more? wink wink...is there something you're not sharing BFR? ;)
