Extra pay while in the field, including expences, lodging, ect. plus per deim (sp?)
2 weeks in the field 2 weeks out (might be 2 in 1 out, I'll ahve to ask at the meeting/interview)
Will be getting paid to ride around on Argo's, Quads, Swamp Buggy type things with big ass tracks, and drve to and from areas in 4x4's
And will be doing a bunch of geophysical/geological Surveys
I want a jorb like that
yeah it sounds pretty fun.

Sounds like my job.
I'm seriously considering buying a vest after an incident the other night.
thought you guys had the five-oh clearing the scene before you even had to step outta the vehicle?

that bad, huh?

So did we. The cops on the inside of the building with the dead guy on the floor had their guns pointed down the hallway where they 'thought' the shooter was. the cops on the outside said the scene was safe for us to enter.
That was your first mistake, you believed them.

Two weeks away at work, two weeks away climbing. Sounds good, but the Mrs. isn't going to like it much. Unless she has a BF of course.

I don't think I'll be away climbing the whole 2 weeks I'm back. Besides for the first couple years we were together I was doing mostly field work, including a couple 8 weeks at at time stints in the Yukon and NWT. We made it through that just fine.
Only because she had a BF, don't kid yourself.

Fucked up shit! Seriously fucked up!
Yeah, that is fucked up. Why the cops didn't just shoot the guy who knows.
Cuz its the screwed up canadian cop logic! They should have shot him right in the head the minute he started waving the knife around. I hear today that he was in the mental hosp right before this...I see it coming. not fit to stand trial. Sent to Mental facility where in 5 years he's "cured" and can roam free. Canadian Judicial system is seriously fucked up. *rant over*

She wouldn't dare. And didn't. And I can't believe you believed me about putting a chemical in the pool that turned purple if you peed in the pool!!
Why is that so hard to believe?

You have no idea how close you were to having it backfire. I was temped to go pee in it just to see it change color.
This is true, you are gullable. And you may have been tempted but you never would have done that!

Fuck I hate government websites and call centers.

Nothing but a big runaround with no useful information.

You can't find it on the site because it is not there, don't bother calling. Cause they will just tell you it is all on the website. Or that they don't know.
This is true, most of the time. I had one exception. Was at work, needed HR gov related info. There was a webform where you put your phone number for a gov rep to call you. I input my work number and as soon as I hit enter the phone rang and it was the government office. not shitting you. It was almost spooky.
Did they then proceed to give you a big runaround? And tell you all the information is on the website? Even though what you were looking for isn't on the website.
Nope, they answered my question. I was totally shocked. Maybe because it was a business tax type question and they want their money.

At the Queenston/Lewiston bridge.

No, there is no turnaround. Once you get past the last exit (stanley I think) it is a point of no return.
why? and is my answer say 3 weeks too late? Crazy
Yes it is late.

Doesn't matter, cause you are wrong. There is a place. It is marked with wrong way signs and dumps you out in front of the toll booths. So you do have to pay the toll for not crossing the bridge.
If there are wrong way signs then you can't drive that way brilliant one! So you are saying it brings you out to the toll booths coming back IN to canada?

Maybe we could just use L'habitant's?

Nope. Just stating my unquenchable desire to matriculate in your pool.

Lots of public pools have a chemical that turns the water color when someone pees in it.

While you are at work today I will be peeing in your pool.

The wrong way signs are to keep people from inadvertently going the wrong way. It is just an opening in the concrete barrier between the two sides. It is in between the tool booths and the currency exchange.
