Its been a busy and shitty day. Fridays normally have the most boring meetings that have nothing to do with me.

Why would you want to go to a class on how to screw up access and loose your crag?

Keep your chin up, it will get better soon. Have a beer or 12 on your new deck!
Its a course put on by the Texas Parks so people can do voluntary guiding. And maybe for Rob.

What are you up to this weekend?
I did some bouldering today. I bet I got in about an imperial ton in two hours. Maybe not though. My truck was really squatting. I should have got a trailer to take with so I could have got more. There was one hugey I wanted to get, but we were having a hell of a time moving it to get it in the truck. I have to unload them myself at home, so I decided against it. I still got 9 way to heavy for me to lift boulders plus a bunch of smaller ones.

Tomorrow if it isn't raining we are going climbing. If it does rain maybe we will go get more boulders.
Where did you relocate the boulders from? You didn't buy them did you?

Did you wear a beenie?
No

I forgot to take one with.

It wasn't very cold anyway.

Today was cold. I wore a hat. I was wishing I had wore long underwear.
It was cold in Blue Mountain too. Still snow on the hills even

You would need to powerwash the deck and use a deck cleaner to make it look nice. Sanding could help get rid of splinters. Is your deck cedar or treated? You can use colored sealer to make the treated look better.

Yes we are going to put a protector on it. The sucky thing with that is you need to keep doing it every couple of years. I shoulda used the composite decking. But that would have made it really expensive.
Ours is cedar. We used sealer for the first few years, but stopped. I think they have better products out now
Like composite decking?

They deserve to live too. We don't shoot you because you are stinky and bothering us do we??

You can rent a trap from the SPCA. They l ike peanut butter
Since you know so much about it I'll leave it up to you.

And why do they deserve to live? Do they pay taxes? Do they help the environment?

No. The free load and expel noxious gases into the atmosphere with their stink butts. They dig up and kill plants that could have helped reduce greenhouse gases and in turn the plants rot and fill the sky with greenhouse gases of their own. On top of that they eat animal babies and destroy the nests of ground nesting birds. And they carry rabies. They are one of the most likely of animals to have rabies.

Skunks MUST DIE!!!!Unimpressed
You just made all that up. Its the circle of life and they have a purpose. Right now it's to torment you!!! I think thats great! hahah
I may have embellished some points, but I certainly didn't make any of it up.

It will make things much more fun on the plane over.
Thats easy to do from Buffalo. I walked on the plane with 6 little bottles of baileys. As long as the liquids are under 3oz
3oz bottles. That's convenient. You can always crack open a fresh bottle of Baileys that way.

I had a nice weekend of climbing at Seneca, ticked a few more routes on my ticklist, drank a bunch of beer at the cinco de mayo party, didn't win anything at the raffle, watched a slideshow, climbed some more and drove home.

Good times!

My place to N. Conway = 2:17
My place to the start of the rains = 1:35

fuckin rain.

All the weather predictions I read for Saturday, as well as the weather on Saturday said that it would be cloudy with a chance of rain in the evening. We were driving at 6 AM and it starts pouring. I was a bit over half-way there. So, I did what any respectable climber would do.

I turned the fuck around and went home. I grabbed the rest of my rack (I take only what is needed for a given area) and head 1 hour in the opposite direction to do some Maine coast climbing, where we had a wonderful day.

It started raining, too, though only after we made it back to the trailhead in the afternoon. Drove 5 hours to make it to the area that is 47 minutes from my house. We should have went to Acadia.

Fuckin Rain...

Yes, but I meant the sealant products. The ones we tried yellowed and wore off. It would be nice to keep the cedar colour somehow.
