A pic of Skinner seconding a pitch on Wully Canyon in the Ghost River Valley, AB. On the lead I was pummled by spin drift. Snowing around 10cm/hour that day, everyone had their avi gear. Good times. The "snow ledge just below him is actually a 4 or 5 foot deep accumulation of spindrift deposit that only the Pruvian Andies Mountain Gods can explain as to why/how it was staying where it was. Gawd I hate that helmet Note to Self (and everyone else) : Don't by a BD Half Dome, they're shite!

I liked my old one, but they went and changed their harness system and I can't wear the new one without a decently thick hat (which isn't too bad 'cause my Petzl helmet is too small to wear with a thick hat with...but it sucks 'cause now I'm usually tossing two helmets in the car before we head out if I'm not sure how cold it'll be).

I still have the one I bought six years ago, I'm loathe to shop for a replacement.

I was in toys-r-us, and noticed that the Tonka Toy hard hats are of a higher quality construction! I think at last count I had 8 cracks in mine. I also hate the way it sits on my head, with no suspension to speak of, just that piece of foam right on top of your head so that there is no airflow/ventilation, which causes me sweat my a$$ off even in winter. So as soon as the ice is in I'll post some pics of me climbing in my new Tonka Toy lid.

Sun, Sty- Whats up guys, I will try to be there if I'm not working. To answer the question of what happened, I was on some late season ice in Redstone and tore my shoulder out. That was in April and my surgury was the 17th. of July. They had to cut muscles loose from my shoulder, shorten and then reattach them. They also repaired a labral tear with some hardware. I have about 20% mobility right now, but I ditch this sling on friday! we will see. Tim

There is ground under the far end, but it is just an ice shelf if even that for the rest. I'd guess that the river would freeze when it gets really cold and you could access the whole wall with a half rope rap down an easy gully.
