V4/5 to V6/7 is the real kicker i've found so far. Technique is important as people have said in this thread. But when you begin to reach this level of difficulty, i feel you u really reach a choice in your climbing career. Your a good climber, is raising your level of climbing ability worth it? You can probably onsight most classic 5.10s and redpoint 5.11s eventually. That's special. I think. Exceeding your goals may not be the answer your looking for, you may be looking to reach a level at which you can truely enjoy the sport without making it a life obsession. I love climbing, i love how it feels to climb. I love feeling tension between my arms and legs and in my core and taking a 20ft whipper, and landing on my ass after I miss a dyno. More than anything though i love the places I climb. You can climb, now go spend your effort climbing at the most beautiful places in the world.
