So i'm flossing... And the strand come apart and I couldn't get it out the way it went out....

So I grab one end and thread it out, but the piece thats stuck unravels and it makes this huge freaken knot and just as the end approaches the point where it would go out the whole fucking knot wedges itself in between my teeth

So I proceed to take some brand new floos to get the freaken knot out, and low and behold... it gets stuck in there good and proper tooo.

Now I've got these piece of rope dangling out my mouth all of them stuck good and proper... saliva abseiling the shit out of the ropes, everything is wet and slippery... and it hurts like a bitch since the knot is wedging my teeth apart.

What a battle.

I did manage to get it out though... but wow.

I get that. Some people love to just camp and cook and eat well and hang out. And 5 deep fried turkeys is epic, so thats cool.
But we like to explore old mines, hike, offroad, fish, photograph, and climb. Plus heard the 3 kids around. So it gets to be a bit much. Canned spagetti w/ meatballs, followed by canned pears. Yum. Much easier clean up in a small trailer w/ 3 young kids.

Very nice. Oh Yea. Very very nice. Must buy a second.

I was thinking about buying one of those for climbing trips where I am basically car camping and don't have to worry weight.

Is it nice enough to be worth the money? Those things ain't all that cheap.
Yea they're kinda spensive.
Depends on how well the matris you using is working. With the new mega rei pad i can inflate it, but not so that its really full. In tha manner I'll not bottom on the ground below it, and still get the support I need on my side. If your current pad is doing that, you prolly won't notice a lot of difference.
Since I bought for the wife for some car tent camping, and she sleep well, it was worth it for me. Plus now I get to use it camping with the scouts too. Cool

The only inflatable mat I have is a 1" thermarest that I used on the Appalachian Trail. I got it because of the weight and compact size but it sucks the ass for regular camping. I sometimes bring a thicker foam mat to put underneath but thats bulky and not that comfortable. I think I need to just lay down the cash and upgrade.

Happens to be the US thanksgiving weekend too. Anyone wanna take a Canadian girl climbing?

I would love to go climbing with you except I HAVE THE INJURY FROM HELL THAT NEVER HEALS!!

*Breaks down crying hysterically*

I don't see the big deal... just pretend it isnt there, advil the shit out of it, and harden the fuck up.

That is my SOP and precisely how it got from tweaked to full on injured in the first place.

Now, if there was a place we could do some multipitch 5.easy wankery that won't be cold as a bastard, I could probably be talked in to that.

The Gunks come to mind but I suspect the coldness will be in full season up there.

My go-to cold weather spots are the slabtastic death routes of NC but that is an epic ride on your end.

How is the new? The weather looks good and I like semi-cold...

What dates are you off?

Turns out I'll be there the 23-25, driving out on the sat (26)

Nice. I doubt I'll make it out there but I hope you have fun.

What am I saying. Assuming it doesn't rain, you won't be able to help but have fun. The NRG is awesome.

Weather is looking dodgy, so RRG may be in the cards

10 day forecasts are not reliable.

No treatment. I opted for soft over hard. I don't want to risk messing up the strength of the steel.

The color there is from starting to clean off the scale with a grinder before it had fully cooled.
