pretty bad
It was mostly either dirt or ice. When we did get to the snow it ranged from hardpack to thin icy crust that would break and send you postholing to your knee to thigh... snowshoes would have helped that, but it was really patchy... It really could use several feet of new snow

They are definitively on the list still, but I would loooove to find a job like my bf's... mostly he works in the office, BUT if he wants to run off someplace and not use up all his vacation time he can just work from wherever he is. My friend had a pretty killer job for awhile... his company would send everyone (small company) to some other country for a month every year to "help boost creativity and free thinking"
my final years in the corporate world were at a hospital in finance. if one wanted to work remotely from time-to-time it was allowed. It was really easy on snow days, but other people had a once-per-week day when they worked from home. It worked really well.
I never liked working from home. I don't like working when at home, so I didn't want to feel obligated to work at home or on the weekends at times.

no such thing as awesome ice at San Jacinto... just iced over trails
