sometimes rolling the dice works, too.

Sure it does. Lets meet in Vegas; you can play the craps tables and I will wave from the top of Epinephrine. We can compare notes later at Cirque du Soleil.

no no no, I'll take the epi please.
Wait, I follow either, or both, of you. Maybe even lead an easy pitch or something.

pitches 3-6 kind of suck, but before and after that it's all easy.

I'm excited about the Pomegranate addition and am going to search out another fruit tree this weekend to add some more variety. The Lemon and Bay leaf came with the property and are thriving trees; everything else is mine.

Awesome! I'll only have a small patio at the place Matt and I are moving into, but it will at least get more sunlight than my current patio. Hoping I can get some of my current plants to come back and make get at least a good herb garden going

You need to internet search small gardens. If you have the time and gumption to engineer it, you can easily make a stacked planter system that you can get a high yield out of. Hanging tomato planter. Potted garden is a good idea too. If you're willing to sacrifice some space you can grow a bunch of stuff.

My younger brothers friend needed to change the oil in his car before a trip to NC this weekend. Being rather broke at the moment, he decides to change it himself. Having never done this before, or anything else other than play video games I assume, he turns up with one quart of oil and they ask me if I could show them how to do it. I send them back to the store for an additional four quarts of oil and a filter. They return and we proceed to change the oil. Other than him driving off the end of the ramps on his first attempt, everything goes smoothly and he does most of the work himself. We then topped off his power steering fluid and cleaned the buildup from his battery terminals. Unfortunately one connection was so corroded that the car wouldn't even start afterwards due to loss of metal on the connector. I send him to the store with what remained of the old part and he comes back with the completely wrong part. He says "this is what they gave me"! I ride up there with him, get the right part, come home and reassemble things. Car runs fine now.

that was 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

yeah I'll probably do something like that at the new place. My current place gets no direct sunlight to the patio so that really limits what kinds of plants thrive. I also think they are using something pretty strong on the landscaping in the area because it seems like any plant that goes near the edge of the patio starts an immediate die off. My poor rosemary was healthy one day and the next the half facing the landscaping in the complex was dead and brown. The rest followed with a matter of days.

my dwarf lemon has pretty much died which is a huge bummer because I've been growing that thing for 3-4 years now. I've managed to keep my bay leaf, hot pepper, and mint plants going, but just barely.

I can't wait to move!
I counted 26 peaches on the Dwarf tree last night!
First eggplant of the season will be harvested in a few days!

Gneiss!

I am probably going to sit on my ass and recuperate tomorrow. Sunday is going to be a water day and the way the waves/swell forecasts are it's going to be a big day for sure.

Next weekend is going to be another marathon backpacking weekend in SEKI. Early season FTW!

Did you use ipecac or go the bulemic's route?

Vitamin supplements on an empty stomach always make me puke... once its out, its fine.

I think I would have just stayed at work. Throwing up is unpleasant and bouldering is not superamazingawesome enough to offset that unpleasantness.

First warm, sunny day of the year... was totally worth it.

Dude. An eleven page weekly report is silly.

I'd go with - "There was a stack of papers on the left side of my desk. I slowly pushed them to the right side."

And it's all true!

For real though, I feel sorry for the women who marry those two. They are useless.

So, I'm sitting here thinking about it and I've got me a pretty bad-ass garden going.

Kale (American and Russian variates) (H)
Leek (H)
Beet (H)
Cabbage (H)
Lima Bean
Eggplant (H)
Fennel
Basil
Cilantro (H)
Oregano (H)
Rosemary (H)
Lemon (H)
Bay Leaf (H)
Spring Onion (H)
Artichoke
Green Bean
Cantaloupe
Squash
Summer Squash
Cucumber
Strawberry
Pomegranate

It's not a big space, but I think it's a pretty impressive lot for an urban garden. I've marked stuff that is harvestable (H) and that I've been using regularly. The eggplant was a champ and has been producing well since last summer, made it through the winter kicking out fruit.

I'm excited about the Pomegranate addition and am going to search out another fruit tree this weekend to add some more variety. The Lemon and Bay leaf came with the property and are thriving trees; everything else is mine.

So many food options!

Keep them the fuck out of it.
