Anybody want to buy a haulbag? Assorted Sizes!
Stubby?

Normal girth, but really short?

I do believe so.

I've got the medium sized one and wish I had gotten the jiant one. The small one is probibly only good for looking hip and edgy carrying your spurt draws to rumvegas.

I've got the big huge BD one, I think it's called the Zion. I'm always wondering if I should sell it, but then i think that maybe me and clausti could siege the WhitneyGillman to beat gumbyburns' clusterfuck record.

Did you get the park pass? Is it just for one park or for all?

I say DO IT. cost benefit has you coming out ahead.

Not yet, black canyon was free because it's winter. If I get the pass, I also get half off all activity fees (camping, etc...) and it is for the whole park and monument and recreation area system.

Yeah, I should probably play up the gimp thing.

Holy shit. DO It before they start trying to phase that out. You should be grandfathered in for future stuff.

In reply to:
Interagency Access Pass - FREE
The Interagency Access Pass is a lifetime pass available without charge to persons who are blind or permanently disabled and citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

This pass permits entry for the pass holder and accompanying passengers in a single, private, noncommercial vehicle. Where entry is not by private car (such as Red Rock Canyon hikers), the pass admits the pass holder and 3 adults (not to exceed 4 adults; children under 16 admitted free). An Interagency Access Pass also provides a 50% discount on camping fees.

The Interagency Access Pass can only be obtained in person at major visitor centers and is non-transferable. Documentation is required to obtain the pass. Acceptable documentation includes: statement by a licensed physician; document issued by Federal agency such as the Veteran’s Administration, Social Security Disability Income or Supplemental Security Income; or document issued by a State agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency.

Note: The Interagency Access Pass replaces the Golden Access Passport. Existing Golden Access Passports will still be honored for the lifetime of the cardholder.

I wonder if I can hook my daughter up with that.

The pass may be issued to U.S. citizens or permanent residents that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities.

I personally dont feel like i'm limited, but ya know...

In reply to:
A permanent disability is a permanent physical, mental, or sensory impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, and working.

I guess the only one I qualify under is "performing manual tasks". Hey, I'm gimpy enough they won't let me join the army !

You should look into it for your daughter, the whole family could get in for free!

If only I'd known about this earlier, she'd already have it. She would have gotten it while still in the cradle. Now she appears mostly able. But I do have the doctor's note. So I put a reminder on the calendar for the summer to try it out. This might be great, cause she's the daughter who likes hiking and stuff like that. Plus I think she'll be a good climber, her arms are strong. She's always pulling down to stabilize herself. ramble, ramble.
