So here you go, I always rack up w/ with my gate openings up and out, so if one has flipped around (it happpens) then i know the gate opening is in and down. Second grade rocket science, I know, but TRY to follow me here as I have more. Secondly, on my solid ovals I put the marking tape on the top of the gate (I dont'worry much about the wired ovals that I mostly carry as they are too f/n obvious)Problem solved, I hope this helps enlighten someone.
