You have some much space and the gear is spread out, I wish I had that much space to get my all out. I have a nice closet but it gets packed really easily. When I go to buy something I have to think where will this fit. Wish I had that much extra room

thanks. I love my gear and being organized....with smaller spaces ...clear bins and hooks for hanging ropes and racks are the way to go. Same with shoes...put each pair on a biner, attatch to webbing, hang it on the wall and voila

There are quite a few threads on the topic of gear storage... but no photos.

Anybody want to post PHOTOS of their storage methods? ~ aside from dumping everything in a bin / leaving everything in their packs.

I want to build a gear closet and looking for ideas. There's a company that makes what is essentially wall-mounted webbing between 2 poles with hooks to attach gear. seems easy enough to make.

I have a 50 Gallon rubbermade tub stuffed full of all my gear. The lid does not evan close, ha ha

if you have some wall space put some peg board up with hooks. just slide biners on to the hooks, slide off and clip to gear sling when its time to go climbing.

I have a 8' x 4' climbing closet located off of my office. Over the years I have accumulated a fair amount of gear; it is actually more organized than it looks.

Gear slings and such hang on hooks on the left. Ropes and helmets are on the shelf above. On the right are cubbies for sleeping bags, tents, pads, cooking gear, etc. The box with the steal your face houses my winter garb.

Around the perimeter of my office I have Shaker pegboards. At the moment some of the gear has spilled out of the closet. Under these axes are a glass front cabinet full of old climbing mags, trip journals, etc.

I put this stuff out to photograph for the gear thread. Usually it all hangs in the gear closet on the hooks. This is probably 1/2 of my gear, but the stuff I use 90% of the time.

Well, not the large titons, camlocks, and hexes. I keep those handy in case of alien attack. Nothing frightens off ET quicker than a sling full of cowbells to the temple.
