But a fun game for the rest of you: guess which kookie I decorated. hmm. don't see one that says ptftw or anything. you are really terrible at the ptftw game. I think my fave was old D_A when he first joined the thread, before he learned the counter trick. He'd fire and be like 10 posts off, it was hysterical. teh donniez always try to use the counter in the forum thread list.

Then I got to thinking whether it's possible we can climb 100,000 feet in a year between us. Not only do I think that's possible, but I reckon we could double it. Not that I could contribute a ton, but this year I hope to get owt twice as much as last year. If distributed evenly, to reach 200K feet we would each need to climb just under 12K feet in a year. Some of ewe (Jack, See Eye and Chossy) probably exceed 50K feet, but some of us may be pushing to get to 5-10K. So if Jake does 250 pitches at Rumney, that's ... 3k ft of climbing? I just counted up my total on the year and I think I have approx 4300 feet of climbing outdoors for 2011. That is a pretty rough estimate though, I think I averaged 70 feet for the climb lengths in NJC and josh, and 8 pitches a day. The vector day was probably 200 feet, and then wednesday at the loaf I figure I did 750 feet. No way i'll be able to keep track of the year though. I guess if I went with my daily average of approx 500 feet a day? Of course I think the Sun Ribbon Arete was probably 2000 by itself. Yeah, 500ft a day was what I was figuring off of. It's a managable amount for an active day at a single pitch carg. So 12K is approximately 24 days owt. 500' is a rugged day at the Creke but a rest day at EPCN. It's also 35 routes at Rumney which, given the whoredz of Bostonians is inconceivable. not that rugged at the Creek, since most routes there are 100 feet or more. My vagina is pretty packed with sand after 5 burns there. It has already been determined that I'm soft though.

Well the front has rolled in here. Started getting windy and cold last night, and it is raining pretty good now. The snow bomb is about to drop!! Heading up tomorrow, be up there all week. Just got new snowboard boots to replace the pair I bought in 1996. Psyched.

I got on 5 pitches yesterday with Justroberto for a total of 500 feet. It was 75F! Where at? the only 100 foot pitches at Erock are head-down ass-out affairs. Yep. I wanted to get on lines I haven't done before. First pitch of Hartford to second pitch of Kracken (it's a new line), then MD2020 (I think), then Ripple, then over to Owl Crack after stopping to look at Runamuck and getting afeard of the 7X climb. Gneiss. I actually have been on very few of those backside lines, I mostly stuck to the cracks at E-rock. I wanted to explore a little and Rob didn't mind. We didn't have a guide so we just ran up some lines that looked good. Ripple is fantastic though. And Stranger Than Friction looks sweet. Want to get on that too. Here's some ice we found though. the mountain was angry that day...

The Land Hog has been gassed, lubed and aired up, and is ready to rock. I have a chronically leaky tire, seems like it goes near flat in about a month. Any tricks to fix that? I've been going with the tried and true method of putting air in it all the time. It's a pain, but the trouble is that when the loyerette drives it she doesn't put air in it and drives around a giant steel beast with a bad tire. Which makes her not want to drive it, which means I might not get the small car for climbing trips.
