Sew looks like im off to Idaho for training. Woot! Leave Sunday. Only thing left is to arrange a shuttle to the airport. Trying to get out to City O Rocks the following weekend. Try to rope up with random strangers for sum cragging.

donald949 wrote: donald949 wrote: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...post=2537433#2537433 A quick write up of the climbing. Unfortunately I don't think any pictures got taken. I haven't down loaded the cards yet. But apparently the wife was about to get out the camera and take some shots of me at the top of Sunday's climbing, when I lowered off. She was somewhat down the crag from where we were climbing. But the long lens would have gotten a couple good shots. Sew. In addition 2 the little bit of klimbink we do the turon stuff. We visited Bodie Ghost town, and the old mines in Mammoth. Which is a pretty cool tour. Still a fair amount of buildings there. The mines are locked up of course. Word was the mines got .6 oz of Gold for every ton of rock pulled out. We scouted around and ran into a family starting to rework their claim. We found several rocks with tiny tiny flakes of gold in them. We did devils postpile and other general sight seeing. Meet up with several different freinds that were in town. Basically just relaxed. Got the 450+ pics uploaded to da computer last night. The wife got some good pictures of Jake climbink. (but not me ) She got lots of good scenery and ghost town pics. Eye will has to put some of them on da face book.

The world nearly ended last night... we had to go a whole evening without electricity... no lights NO TV!!!... I mean it was terrible really bbq-ed burgers, drank some beer scary stuff... not sure how I survived it (I do feel bad for the people in the hot desert that didn't have power, but it was just plain nice out last night where I was)

Although one of the wife's freinds 3 miles from us had none. It finnaly cooled down about 10, and we could kill the AC and open the windows. Some my freinds at work who live down Oside did what you did. Had a block party in fact.

You'd nevar make it in America. I hear thought that one brand can be totally different than another... so maybe I just had a shit one But if what I tasted is the general flavour.... uuuugghhh ya, flat root beer sucks donkey balls, but the good stuff, the stuff that bites, it fucking good. Different brands do taste differently, and I would think that most people would agree that the best stuff is the small, micro-brew, "homemade" root beer. Anyone every try Birch Beer? Good, too.
