Telling people about being engaged is quite the freaken rollercoaster in term of the type of congratumulations one receives.

I've had sincere genuine congratses.
I've had standard do not care one way or the other congratses.
But unlike bdays and such i've also had.
Condiscending don't believe in marriage congratses
Jealousy congratses that fucking spoil the atmosphere.
Congratses with buts and questionable questions or sarcastic bullshit.

Most of these negative congratses come from people I don't even care for... and I just happened to have told them because they happened to be in the vicinity..

Serisously fuck these people.

What the fuck man.....

Luckily my family are all super happy, and my fiances family too... so it's all good.

The green is nice and all, but I find the cleaning up rather fucking tedious.

Bong is a bitch to keep clean, and it always feels to me like a bacteria ridden smelly piece of shit. And someone invariably breaks one or spills the smelly water onto the carpet or in your car or etc... it's fucking tedious.

Always the seeds and twigs and shit, bad smelling crap

Stupid resin residue all over the place.

It makes brownies and cookies taste not as nice as nongreen ones.

and there's always a fould smelling container with all sort of crappy weed paraphanalia

Relationships, the wife, the kids, extended family. Kids school. Work.
All can be a source of satisfaction, joy, and frustration. Sometimes all at the same time. Crazy
We all have our own hopes and dreams. Try to meld your desires with you partners, so you both get what you want, is not always easy.
Also, everyone has lots of demands on them.
Work thinks they own my soul.
School thinks it owns my kids souls.
Mother in Law thinks we have to march to her drum.
Its hard to get them all lined up and moving in the same direction. Somedays it just would be nice to pack up the family, head off, and just do our own thing. For a day, a week, or a lifetime. Unsure

Last night was a crazy night then. Oldest was up past 8 doing homework, for 4th grade. The other two just goofing off and not listening. All that driving the wife crazy.
But then we firmed up plans for climbing and camping at Lone Pine before Thanksgiving and a trip to Vegas to celebrate the wife's birthday.
So much going on it makes my head spin.

I'm talking more pure bitterness, not life frustrations and ups and downs which everyone has.

For example, there is a guy I know that any time someone gets engaged he goes on the rant of

"wow your really stupid... run why you still can, why would you do something like that... It's going to ruin your life...I'd divorce my B--tch of a wife in a heart beat if I had the money but I need that B**ch to take care of the kids. ... oh yeah... congrats"

it's the worst congrats I have ever heard.
