What is your favorite carabiner to use when sport climbing? Locking, nonlocking, "Dee", perabiner, oval and the the brand. My favorite: BD locking pearabiner.

I love the petzl nuetrinos, and the omega wires... For belaying and repelling, the petzl williams lock takes the cake... And of course there's nothing like the original ovals and D's, they seem to maintain their usefullness and wonderful oldschool charm... I pretty much love any biner that's mine I guess!

No kidding! Petzl is making the neutrino now? Wow. Typo aside, I'm a big fan of the Metolius ergo Lucky carabiners because of that snazzy double action they've got. Bent or straight gate, all of my draws are metolius. And I use the Omega Pac Jake Screw gate for belay/rappell.

i DONT LIKE the Omega 4.0 omegalite's. i find the rope end hard to clip. it has a weird shape for my hand. id take a regular D over an omegalite any day, even though the omegalites are rated for 26kN. and whats this i hear about some people not liking ovals because of their lessened strength compared to other biners? omega's oval biners are almost as strong as their lockers! iv never tried metolius qd's, or their biners alone but i think i'd like them. i really liek the standard D biners from HB

Have we entered some kind of time warp -- ovals? regular D's? This is modern sport climbing. We use carabiners that are light, strong, and easy to clip: Petzl Spirits, DMM Wirelocks, BD Hotwires, etc. Get real, people. -Jay

I like the anodized DMM wirelocks that are color-coded to match the cams. It's so much easier to look at a red biner to know that you have the #1 Camalot.

I'm poor so I take what I can get. I like my BD hotwires and petzl attache, nothing fancy just straight up good (not great) biners.
