So i was bored at work and browsing old material .. and i realized that i have 2 cents to add ..

RE: lead carabiners .. (keylock dedicated lead biners).

I found oval keylock biners at the mountain shop in curry village that have notches on the gates (3 notches around the gate).. and bought 2 .. they are my dedicated lead biners.

The advantage to having the notches on the gates is that it makes it easier to find your aiders when they are clipped behind your back (to keep them out of the way while free climbing, or whatever) .. you can then find your aiders by feel alone. (and since there is always too much stuff clipped on the back of my harness, i find it pretty useful).
