Okay Ladies Im gonna hang it out there for you so please be gentle okay?
I am very serious on this and I will try to be all professional about this (not that Im a pro or anything).
So I happen to of the male species however although I love women I dislike body hair (this is pertaining to myself by the way and Im just trying to point out that the testosterbone runs huge in my jeans)

I frequently trim my body hair and sometimes wax full body, yeah if I dont I would be pretty hairy.
But heres the question I know girls get brazilian waxes done and I plan on it as well, right now I just shave there, but... (no pun intended) what about the other hair? Look I know there a lot of people that don't like hair in thier public oh I mean private areas. Personally I shave but its a pain in the @ss not to mention it takes allot of balls to shave those 'other areas'
Ive heard some people wax there..Ouch! what I want to know is has anyone waxed there genital area and how bad was it? Do they use a special wax? Can you do it yourself?
I have my own profesional wax kit a girl friend got for me but she didnt know how or if you need special stuff to wax those areas.

Otherwise whats the option? Shaving sucks and takes a long time plus I would prefer if the hair stoped coming back eventually.

What about laser TX would that be bad for my buoys I mean boys?

I hope I havnt offended anyone or made you feel uncomfortable but Im putting this post here because I know girls are easy to talk to and are pretty open minded. He11 its not something I would really sit around talkin about while having beer with the guys eh!

Thanks for your honest answers
cheers

honest answer (and I hope I don't get slammed for this):

I trim my boyfriend's hair "down there" with kitchen scissors. also use a razor for other areas - neck, and - er ah, well, I don't want to say....

but yeah, it takes a lot of trust, and I wouldn't wax it - too painful.

I knew a guy who told me he used Nair down there. I also think most guys who want to remove pubic hair, just shave. You can also look for a professional who will wax it as well.
As far as permanent removal, I believe electrolysis is your option,it probably would be expensive, time consuming and painful.

we've kind of already discussed this... well i don't think the other thread ever hit the realms of testicle hair removal *shrug*

any guy i've known who wants to keep it trim n tidy down there shaves.

i used to wax my own bikini line but (as it was pointed out to me the first time i got an esthetician to do it) your neck starts to hurt from looking down so much. and as you can imagine, it gets awkward.

you know what? you said you sometimes wax "full body". so you know what waxing feels like. go get your balls waxed and if it hurts like mad, don't do it again.

Alright look I may have balls of steel when it comes to climbing but I dont think Im brave enough to just go get them done to see if it hurts...What are you nutz? That is some soft delicate skin and I dont really feel like havin the skin ripped off like there peaches.
But some people must get them waxed , am I right? Ive looked around for profesionals but cant find anyone that knows how to do that area.
Ive never had any electrolysis done , does it hurt? What about side effects on me fellas? Or rather on my navy guys.....you know my sea men
(I wasnt alluding to the color) Its just I may want to have kids someday.

I know hair removal has been discussed and Ive peeked to see if anyone touched on the subject at hand here...But It seemed to never actually touch on this exact subject

Sorry if this seems repetitive, and thank you to all thats replying no doubt this is providing much laughs for some at my expenis I mean Expense (cause I dont use the scissors)

cheers

If you really want to do it, just do it. Call around and find places that do the Brazilian or playboy (there is a difference) wax for women and ask if they do men. It will hurt like the be-jesus the first few times, but it gets better....promise DONT DO IT YOURSELF . You'll regret it...take it from someone that has experience with this!

I also wouln't let a girlfriend do it unless she knows what she's doing...that is some SERIOUSLY sensitive skin down there that has the potential to rip  and bleed  .

I personally prefer it when a guy does some grooming down there...I don't mean rip it off, but hey you do what you have to do!

Best of luck!

is it because the real estate looks larger when you trim back the underbrush?

Okay yeah I hadnt really planned on doing it myself, or letting a non profesional do it.
Whats the diference between the brazilian wax and the playboy?
Personaly its not that I want to be hairless I just want the majority of my boody hair to come in a lot thinner as far as the goods go,hair on .....well I guess I can be blunt....hair on my balls I can do with out I dont mind having a bit of a treasure trail and a bit on top the problem is where I dont want hair is the most sensitive skin.
Ive checked with some places that do brazillian waxes but they say they cant do a man there because they dont know how.
Just for the record this is as much for me as it is my wife. The friend thats a girl that got me my wax kit usually does my other hair until my wife gets comfortable doing it (shes been showing her how). Thats why I was wondering if it can be done at home.

...and hell yeah the weathers nice here too.

The Brazilian is when they leave something...Playboy is when it's ALL removed (at least that's what my esthetician goes by). Keep calling around until you find someone that can do it for you. It really has to do with pulling the skin tight enough, etc...a lot of people really don't want that job!

If you live in a large city, somebody has to do it...if you don't live in a large city, maybe on your next venture to a large city, check with the local salons... :D

Does trimming back make the real eatate look bigger? Hell yeah and let me tell what even when your well endowed (Im not ashamed to admit it) It still looks nicer cant say I like going down on a girl that has more hair then zz top. I know my wife preferes not having to pull hair curleys off her toung as well.
If bet if you owned a ferrari you would keep that sucker looking as good as it could, washed detailed etchowever I guess if you own a pinto you wont really care if the lawn grows up to the hood.

whoops I wasnt done my post when I acidently sent it anyway Im not trying to be a jerk but in all honesty I prefer the clean look on my wife and why should she have to deal with a hair ball (or two) I cant really think of anyone that really loves body hair so much that they wish it was growing up to the tip. sheesh.
I mean if I want a girl that keeps things neat and tidy shouldnt I do the same? I think I would kinda be a jerk otherwise , unless of course she truely was turned on by tons of hair. (not that Im an ape, thank goodness)
But I think you get my point.
Ill keep looking around, Im close to a big cnter and thats where Ive been checking, still no luck.

BTW does the neat work?
What about these solutions you put on after waxing that are supposed to help kill the folocules ?
Thank you for your replies.
Cheers

ok. i'm having a feeling similar to being seated in a busy restaurant and hearing a descriptive phrase like "ball hair" from the table behind me. you don't know whether you should smile at the person across the table from you and politely order the grilled chicken caesar or spew your diet Coke out your nose.

that being said, my mother is an esthetician (i.e. a sac waxer). she has told me stories of waxing everything from the rooter to the wrists to the tooter. i, nor she, would recommend electrolysis. needles and nuts. sounds like a route name. anyway, you might want to ask a professional about laser hair removal. i'm not sure for around those "special" areas, but for everywhere else it is awesome. it feels like a rubber band being cracked on your skin and the only side affect i have had is redness after.

waxing. wax on...

 :?

okay, so i'm a little late to the thread .. oh well. as for solutions, i have some aloe vera/vitamin e stuff that i used the first few times after waxing. though, after the second or third time, it doesnt really hurt anymore, then eye and neck strain become more of the issue. you might consider going to a salon for the first few times since your hair is the most coarse during those sessions. you could also use the opportunity to ask them if they have any solutions that they recommend.

best,
amber

I've yet to have any luck with the "after-lotions" that are supposed to slow hair growth...that said, I am a she-beast though. Maybe it would work on someone a little less shaggy.

Neat, Nail, icky creams...they are just plain a mess. They work like shaving by eating away at the hair where it meets your skin chemically. Chemicals + Balls = Not A Good Idea. Like I said before, give it whirl. If it sucks, don't do it again!

Lasers = $$$ I would LOVE to be able to try this out, however I'm bank account challenged!

If you are looking for something more permanent for the private areas you might consider getting laser hair removal. I know a bunch of women in my office that did it a couple of years ago. They said it hurt as much as getting waxed but the results were ... well ... permanent. It's expensive but if you plan on getting waxed frequently it would be cheaper in the long run. They had it done in a plastic surgeons office.

I get waxed - it hurts like hell! I've had three different people do it and there definately is a difference between someone that knows what they are doing and some who does not. Get the person who knows what they are doing, even if they are a little more expensive. The results will not only be nicer to look at and touch but it will last a hell of a lot longer too.

Ok seriously.
I have played with waxing myself before, its sort of fun in a wierd way.

Just go slow and do a little at a time and MAKE SURE the skin is tight and your ripping in the right direction. Read the directions on the box.

Hey man, your not alone. I hate body hair, and I have lots of it. Wish I could get rid of it, but there aren't too many good options.

As for ridding your private parts of hair... I couldn't imagine waxing. You'd be a braver man that I... Ummm, recall seeing a comment about Nair in this post. I think there is a message on the bottle of Nair which explicitly says not to use it on your genitals. What the heck is in that stuff - more chemicals to add to your family jewels. Call me paranoid but sounds like a recipe for testicular cancer to me. I thinks trimming and shaving is the way to go.

Does anyone know how much laser treatment actually costs??

Ive actually found waxing to be not that bad, its a he11 of a lot less painful then some climbs Ive been on thats for sure! But Im too worried about tearing skin on those precious areas. Ive heard of people doing it there, but but I cant confirm anyone actually has.
By the way grigriese do you know how much the laser Tx was? and just for clarification was the waxing your talking about in the genital area? I would assume that it would be just as delicate of a procedure for women as for men. Grigriese if it was then how bad was it and did it get better after a couple of times?

Again thank you to all that have replied

Okay Pirate...get comfortable.

***flips Peanuts style Lucy "in session" sign***

I am considered in many circles as a waxing affectionado and will share with you the many secrets I have shared with countless girlfriends (AND boyfriends).

1. WAXING is the BEST solution for down there. Why? Shaving itches like the BEJEBUS when it grows back. And although you will get some "unsightly itch" with waxing, it is not nearly as bad, plus, with certain steps (exfoliating, ointments like "bikini zone") you can minimize ingrown hairs which can be one of the few problems. Also, stubble is one of the FEW things I would like to feel when I'm wanting to get "close". lol After a few months of waxing you will notice a considerable difference in the coarseness of your hair (finer), and a "perceived" thinning.

NEVER NAIR THE NEUTERS! I REPEAT NEVER NAIR THE NEUTERS! There is a reason why that paragraph detailing where you should NOT use the stuff is on the Nair bottle. Heed it's warning. (And yes, I know from personal experience)

2. You can minimize the discomfort of waxing by following a few simple "pre-wax" steps.

*Don't shower 2-3 hours before getting waxed. This will soften your skin and make it more sensitive.

    * Take an ibuprophen an hour before you go in. This will help take away some of the sting, but you will still feel it.

    * Try not to tense up just before they pull the muslin strip (cotton like strip used to remove the hair with the wax). I can't recall why this is, but I have had countless ethecians tell me not to do this, cause you won't get as good a wax, and it seems to be true.

    * Avoid putting any additional lotions on your skin immediately after, other than the anesthetic cream/oil that they will put on you after they finish.

3. They will put you in some pretty uncomfortable positions in order to get to all the nooks and crannies. Remember that they are professionals and you're not the first pair of neuters that they have seen.

4. "Brazillian wax" is generally considered completely "bald" with the exception of a small "landing strip" rectangle in front. A "Playboy" is the same thing with a small triangle in front. It is called Playboy after the magazine that popularized the style ;)

5. I would suggest going to a pro initially, but after being waxed for years, I have learned a lot of the tricks of the trade, and can now do my own. I would suggest Honee brand products. All you would need is a warmer (about $19 at any beauty supply store, or I often order from http://www.hair-removers.com/gigi-honee.html), some wax (creme formulations are often better for sensitive skin), some sticks (Look like tongue depressors), and some muslin strips. Some other useful items are Pre Hon (It's a cleanser you use beforehand to remove any lotions, oils, dirt, etc), baby powder (you put this on before you wax, so wax sticks more to hair and less to skin), Bikini Zone or any other suitable (anteseptic for after...witchhazel works well too). Waxing yourself often requires a bit of flexibility and creative use of mirrors ;)

Once you start regularly waxing you will have to wait for the hair to grow at least 1/8th of an inch in order to wax again. That can suck, but as I mentioned above your hair will start appearing thinner. Yes, it will hurt the first time. But it's no worse than a light skinning of the knee. It DOES get easier. Now I hardly bat an eye, when I once winced. ;)

Okay, I think that's all the basics I can think of right now.

Let me know if you have any other questions...I've heard them all at this point ;)

I would like to thank my friend Kathleen and Cosmo for helping to open my eyes to the wonders of waxing :)

While I have played with hot wax many times, it was not for hair removal. I did remove quit a bit later, trying to clean up though. Probibly should have gotten waxed before I found myself tied to a bed and a sweet young angel dripping hot wax off a burning candle on me, but that's a different story. While I think shaving your partner can be a exciting, scary and erotic start of the game, I do think waxing it's a good thing. If I wanted to lick hair I'd lick the back of your head. Nothing worse than wading through waist high growth to find the button not to mention choking on hairs in the back of your throat.

I am considered in many circles as a waxing affectionado and will share with you the many secrets I have shared with countless girlfriends (AND boyfriends).
What are your salon hours, can I make an appointment.

Does anyone know how much laser treatment actually costs?? RockZen

the first time I tried laser Tx, it was with a non-cooling laser. GET THE COOLING ONE, trust me. my first Tx was free, because my mom did it. at this particular salon, they charged clients $1000 for 6 sessions. if you are serious about it, definitely check around for better prices.

the salon I go to now, charges $40 a treatment, and I go about every 10 weeks or so. they are very professional, and they let me pay as I go instead of charging me for some over-priced package up front. they say it usually takes 4-8 treatments depending on the "afflicted area" and your skin and hair type. the difference is astounding. I told myself I would never consider professional hair removal until there was something out there that convinced me that it was the worth the money for the visible results. and NO SIDE EFFECTS!

Thank you for the info.
Actually the warmer and brands that a cligrrl mentioned are what i got from my girlfriend and the main body hair seems to be okay on this stuff , iI se the dark honey for my chest as the hair is quite stubborn there.
Caligrrl I was wondering what wax works best for the nadds? If I absolutely cannot find a pro to do it is there any tricks for doing it yourself on the nads? Sheesh I thought doing my own other hair was uncomfortable.
So far Ive only been waxed 3 times body and of course no times down stairs. The first time my girlfriend did it and the second time she did it she tried to teach my wife (my wife is still a fan of the shaver)
the third time my wife started but had some trouble (not wanting to hurt me.....funny a position I think allot of wives would like to have thier husbands?boyfriends in LOL) so I ended up finishing it by myself.
I think fore sure if I can find someone to do it thats a pro Ill go for it at least for the first while. My girlfriend is no longer around so she wont be able to help me out anymore on this.

Thank you again caligrrl you gave me some new insight as well as gravity sucks for the enlightenment of laser and well of course to everyone else.
Cheers

Pirate:

I use the creme based Honee for my bikini line. It's formulated for sensitive skin and is easier to clean than the regular honee.

The key to waxing sensitive areas like that is to pull the skin taut and make sure you apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth, then pull the muslin against the hair growth.

Do small sections. Maybe 1x2 inch squares at first. Use a very thin layer of wax, too much and it may stick and that hurts like hell.

Where do you live? I know there are places that do this for men, but then again they may just be more plentiful in LA since this is the porn capital of the world.

Good luck!

:) Cali

Well I dont know if I would get it done on a TV show as a before and after segment  ......ahhh who am I kidding sure I would, but they might have to make a blurry dot so big that you wouldnt see anything anyway.
But (pun intended) seriously there must be a growing need... (I know , I know) for this. The closest city I was talking about is Calgary, which I found to be fairly open minded so Im still hoping. I heard there might be a mens specialty shop for this sort of thing, however I cant seem to find it.
Ill be passing through there in a couple of days on my way to do some alpine in the columbian area so Ill keep my eyes peeled, a couple of weeks later Ill be up there again and Ill root around for it then.
thanks
cheers

Finally, a subject I'm an expert in. The groin area.

Get yourself some Aveeno moisturizing lotion. Used daily, it softens hair and makes it easier to remove. Did wonders for my tough ass beard. Wait, that came out wrong. There's no beard on my ass. You know what I mean.

One of the great joys in my life is using my electric shaver on the downstairs roundies. Good for touching up between brazilans and the vibrations are better than Viagra.

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, ring me up, I'll hook you with the best aesthetician that ever waxed marbles. She's got hands of melted gold and breasts that cost more than most new cars. Worth every penny. Afterwords we'll hit the Korean massage circuit for a rubdown and happy ending. Then some cigars and single malt at the VIP room at NYNY. Kind of a "Mans-man Spa Day".

Climb off-widths naked. If that doesn't rid the hair, nothing will. And remember the wise words of Keanu Reeves - "chicks dig scars."

Caligirl, the location in my tag there is just the location of my psyche. My physical being-ness is currently confined to the environs near our nations capital. Nugget plucking isn't as popular here but I'm trying to start a trend. Lawyers don't recognize the value of bald fellows.

Anyway, see if there's still a place called "Smooth Moves" near 4th and Labrea. Ask for Nastasia. There's a guy named Ken that'll do it to, is your friend gay or at least secure in his manhood? Nothing like having another dude clean the jewels to make you feel burly.

Or maybe you could do it yourself. Get a bottle of Dom and one of lotion too, then make an afternoon of it. It's a fine way to get acquainted. You'd be surprised how willing I've found my female friends to help out.
