Hey guys....I had a great time climbing with all of you at the Barn. Can't wait to get back. Craig, I'll post a little later this week if I think I may make it to Devil's Lake. And Kurt (if I'm remembering names right), maybe next time I'll help you out by hangin' those 9's for ya! Jeremy.

Alright, anyone climbing this weekend, other than at Devils Lake? See, I'm partnerless this weekend since Les is off to Hawaii for the long weekend and the long range forcast is in the 60's and 70's for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So, if anyone is in need of a partner or wouldn't mind letting me join you at either Taylors or Red Wing, I'd be very appreciative! duskerhu

Dann and Jeremy - slight change of plans... We are heading down on Friday morning instead of Thursday. If you either of you can make it, let me know. And if anyone else wants to join us, drop me PM. Craig

Hi all, I posted this already but didn't get any response so I'll try again. I will be within about 20-30 minutes of Taylor falls from the 29th-31st I would love to do a bit of climbing if someone would like to show me the area. I only have my shoes and chalk with me. I have been traveling alot with no time to climb for over a week and a half and I'm going stir crazy! It won't be until my short stay near TF that I will have any time to climb. Grrrrr. (I climbed a silo last night, does that count?) PM please if intersested.

I'm lookin' to get out to Barns a bunch before weather turns foul. I've got a few things to do there this season yet. If anyone's willing to pick a carless college student up from Minneapolis in exchange for some gas money, I'm up for Barn's this Sat/Sun.

You want a report, huh? We had a great time. The weather was perfect both days! There were 12 of us from the Cities that went down for the weekend, and we hooked up with quickclips (from WI) and his girlfriend. We hit the East Rampart on Saturday and the West Bluff on Sunday. The East Rampart was a zoo, but we still got some fun climbs in. However, there was nobody on the West Bluff. The highlight of the West Bluff was climbing Cleopatra's Needle. Saturday night, we were invited to an 'End of the Season' party - a pot luck, followed by a huge bon fire. There were a few people who had been climbing at the lake for like 20-30 years! It was really cool talking to them and hearing stories about 'the old days'. :) Overall, it was great trip, and we'll definitely be heading back next year. Actually, it's only like a little over a three hour drive, so it's not much further then Blue Mound.

In reply to: The weather was perfect .... The East Rampart was a zoo ... little red bugs were everywhere ... That sounds about right. Wish I could've been there. We should plan on a trip or two there just after the snow thaws. There's not too many people there then. Or bugs!

Don't even say the 's' word! It's still to early to even think about that... I'd totally be up for a spring road trip down to the lake - a little something to think about during the upcoming winter months...

Sorry Brian, i'm not going Sat so I cant help you even if i did live in the metro. Dan and i are going fri. morning to freeze our arses off if it doesn't rain, so anyone who wants to join us come on out. On another note, Brian and i discussed a separate forum for MN climbers (so we would be having this Oct. climbing thread on another site) i'm not sure where Brian is on his end but i did figure out how to get phpbb running and i have a sample site running, i just don't know how much band width it would take and i only get 10gb per month, so the best thing to do is use it for a while and see what kind of usage we incur. So the site is http://mnclimbing.worldispnetwork.com make an account and post a little bit (to test the usage) and i'll be working on some of the topics, let me know what you want for topics. Les

Hey Les,how do you get more bandwidth ? I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to computer stuff,I'm just curious about how easy it would be to expand.

3GB should still be plenty, not enough for a huge venture but more than enough for a little MN climbing board.

In reply to: Site looks good Les! Do I need to re-register though? Yep, the site is not a part of rc.com so register and make a post or two.....or more, i want to get an idea of what kind of bandwidth we'll be using. Les
