I'm looking forward to playing with these cams. Depending on how well they work, I'll bet they will start becoming a favorite on many a climber's rack.

In reply to: 8^) http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=Show&PhotoID=36259 That is a sweet piece of machinery! I've submitted a diagram of how I think it works. If it works like I think it does, the smallest placement size is less than 35% of the largest, so you could have one unit that goes from 1" down to .3". Edit add: Here's a link to a diagram of how I think this critter works: http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=Show&PhotoID=36264 Bob K.

In reply to: WICKED, OP has a flash vid on their site of someone opening and closing the cam. Very interested to see how they work out. Here's a link: http://www.omegapac.com/innovative2.html If i'd seen that first, it'd have saved me a bit of CAD fun! Bob K.

That's a fairly complex little gizmo - in testing them how have they held up to grit and dirt from use? I agree w/ what's been said so far for the price and weight? these would be nice clutch pieces, but I'm not sure of a rack o the things. I will probably buy one play with nonetheless. Any pictures of the results of the time spent in IC?

I was just at the Omega Shop yesterday...and I got to play with one of the original Proto-types..... very cool! 8^) I think they will be a cool addition to the dozens of other cams that are [gereralizing]basically the same[/end gerneralizing] right now. This has a totally differnet look and feel. Will be cool to have. BTW, nice new digs guys (omegapac) I look forward to stopping by after all is built and the production is goign on and I can watch soem stuff (hopefully) Thanx Tom 8^) The Russman
