You accused Colin in poor style and lost. You dug yourself a hole. You can't just apologize and expect it all to go away just like that. Actions have consequences. All you're doing now is digging your hole deeper.
Why don't you go into a bar, find some big burly guy, and tell him that you heard from some chick that he has a short dick. And then apologize -- see if that prevents you from getting pummeled into the ground.
People are going to be harassing you and calling you a jerk for the next few days.

Well I dont deny I aproached the subjest in bad form, (never have)
Guess I shouldt really have expected anything better from a lot of these guys.
Oh well. No difference to me anyway. Those that choose to see the facts can, those who chose not to dont have to thats thier right and people have a right to thier opinion.
Ive gained a lot of insight to some people so its all a learning experience.
Too bad I dont have time for this anymore I leave in a couple days for another practice trip and then in 6 weeks Im gone for over a year on a major Alpine undertaking.
Have fun with this thread while Im gone if you like, But Im off climbing.
BTW your illustration was not even close to this scenario.
How about some guy saying I have this buddy that free climbed zodizc in 2 hrs. Then I would go yeah right I dont beleive it. If the guy apeared and said actually it was in like 8hrs and blah blah giving logical details I would say " hell ya thats pretty rad , Sorry if I offended you earlier.." .....
That is more of an acurate illustration except for the part where a bunch of bystandards jump in trying to pick a fight, because why? oh yaeh I didnt beleive the guy that relaid inacurate information. mmmm Sounds like a logical reason to get your panties tied up in a knot to me.(thats sarcasm)
one more thing about the illustration, with real bar, prison and warfare experience you would know that its not usually the big brawly guy in the bar you have to worry about.

Anyone have any pictures / recent beta for the approach between Berg Lake and the face? By the way, the Robert Hicks Bates Award for achievement by young climbers went to Washington-based alpinist Colin Haley. Otherwise known as the crazy dude who solo'd the NF in a couple of days.
