I'd be up for Ames, but given the weather system coming in we would probably need to do it tomorrow (Thursday). I'd want to lead atleast 1/2 of the pitches (normally I'm a lead hog)

How is the ice now? I;m finally done coaching wrestling for the season and can get some late season ice in. Anything left around here? CCC, Boulder, silverplume, lincoln? or do I need to head to RMNP?

climbed in CCC Sunday afternoon. It was actually in pretty decent shape. Climbed in the area right next to Little Eiger, both the lower falls and upper falls (better shape) were climbable. If anybody wants to try to climb there again after work (I can be there at 3:30pm)

I hear you on that. I have been ice climbing every weekend for the last few months and missed last weekend and did not know what to do with myself. I did go rock climbing but I missed the Ice.
I am heading up to the Ouray area this weekend and am scared to see the condition of the ice. It is going to make me sad.

I was in Ouray last week. The Shithouse area is pretty bad as I figured because of all the sun it ggets. Schoolroom is too terrible and I'd guess most of the rest of the park is decent. Definately slushy in spots!

Climbed Lincoln Falls today and it wasn't too bad!
middle falls is hacked to hell and theres some good fractures but teh scottish gully is still good; expecially the upper falls.

Greetings. I'm looking for some new folks to climb ice with. Looking for experienced, fit people for waterfall and alpine ice (sorry, I've got my wife if I want to climb mellow). I've been climbing ice for many years and lead 5+. Seeking someone who is not afraid of hella-early alpine starts and climbing hard. I'm available weekends and Mondays. No pot smokers - but I'm a long f-ing way from being conservative :)

Hey Scott, I am up for both weekends. How are things up there? Is it cold at all? Down here in New Mexico it has been ridiculosly warm.

Hey, Im also looking for alpine partners to hit up fall and winter routes, mostly in RMNP. If you like waking up at midnight, hiking fast, and simul climbing the easy pitches, contact me - schedule is flexible.
