With cooler weather not too far off (especially after this past 100 degree weekend), hopefully it'll be time for me to spend some more time outside climbing.

I'd like to find a few people in the Allentown/Bethlehem area who want to visit area places like Stover or Haycock. I have a friend that I usually go with, but he's not always available on weekends.

Bouldering is good, top-roping is good. Not looking for trad just yet.

I own most of my own gear, so I'm not looking to leech off yours. But it would be nice to go somewhere and be able to setup 2 lines.

As an advanced n00b, I can usually climb 5.9 consistantly with an occaisional 5.10a (depending on how much my height benefits me).

Disclaimer: I just started climbing again after 10 years, but I'm not looking for a mentor or trainer. I'm happily married, so I'm not looking for a girlfriend nor am I looking for a homoerotic interlude. :)

Check out the PA gathering at the GUnks. You will meet many PA climbers...

Max,

Just spent Saturday with a few friends outside at Stover (yeah, it was a wee bit toasty!) and we sometimes head out there on the weekend when we can't get anything better.

Might head there or Palmerton next weekend if you're interested.

Scott

Gail, thanks. I've been thinking about that trip and if I can get my schedule cleared up, I'd love to go.

Scott, where abouts in Palmerton? Stony Ridge? Never visited any of the stuff up that way, would at least be interesting to see a new area.

Max,

Switching gears and might head to Birdsboro this weekend. Interested?

Aric,

Were you out on Sat or Sunday? What climbs were you on? We hung ropes on Far Face, Phone Booth and Obx Partner on Saturday.

Know which day yet? This weekend may be iffy for me, but it'd be good to see Birdsboro.

I have to take a completely green friend to the gym, so availability depends on whether I take him before the weekend or on Saturday.

Hi
I would be up for climbing with some new people on sunday at birdsboro - I'm just getting back into climbing too and am currently flailing up 5.9's and a few 10-'s, I'm looking to climb more, I'm currently not leading (unless its super easy ie 5.6ish below), but am looking to start again soon, I just want to get a tad more comfortable on the rock. I'm also up for climbing other times around the lehigh valley region ie haycock, stover, is there anywhere else? so feel free to get in touch whenever.

This Sunday is crap for me -- got a family picnic going on. I will have to make it another time, hopefully the following weekend.

Paaarty. Okay, I don't really have anything to add to this thread, except that I'll probably be at birdsboro on Sunday too, and that Scott said that we'd probably meet around 11 AM for those who are interested...
