Took this photo 3 weeks ago at Barrier Bluffs near Calgary. I've read some of the other posts about how to make rappelling shots "work". I like the colours in this one but am not sure about the composition.

Nice place looks like.
First thing comes to my mind: the climber doesn't stand out. Wearing bright colors may help (as some have suggested for my photo), or taking them over a surface that makes them stand out, like cutout from the sky, or on a blank face or a face with high contrast. Also in your photo, there's a lot of details from the trees etc which clutter the photo making the viewer not focus on the climber first... So maybe simplify the photo.
