The weather is not the best right now, cold and a little wet but I guess your kind of used to that where your coming from. There are some crags that are overhanging enough to keep you dry as well as a cave with routes inside. I have PM'ed you with a friends name and cell phone number who lives there. I am stuck in Shanghai at the moment but will be moving to Yangshuo the end of February if you are still around. Joe

This week-end is before the Chinese New Year holiday so it shouldn't be busy there. Therefore the guide services might not be working thus you can catch some climbing partner. Hang aroung the "China Climb" outfit - there are plenty of westerners working there and might be the easiest way to get a partner or info about who is in town and available. Alternatively, for this week-end, send a PM to 'guangzhou' on RC.com - he lives in Guangzhou and probably will go climbing to Jiu Long in Guangdong province - same kind of rock and plenty limestone to climb there for a weekend and more. Now in Guangdong is chilly but very dry and it started warming up today quite a bit. From here it's easy access by bus or train to/from Yangshuo and direct and convenient links to Macao by ferry. Any other info, PM me and i might be able to help. Have fun, Cosmin

PS: HK is also a great climbing area and easy access from Macao - so you might wanna consider that when you only have a weekend to spare. C
