If you are up for coming out to western PA, I would be willing to meet up. I don't go into central PA much though. Good luck. Dan

First, you want to learn for an experienced climber, not another noob! Secondly, if your school has a gym, then there has to be more then you climbing there ... ask around. Third, when there is no one to climb with and you are sick of the same ol same ol, pick up a how to climbing book and read. Last, but not least, be willing to travel to those places where climbers are willing to help. In my case. if you are willing to make it up to NH for some climbing at Rumney this year, drop me a line. I know how it is wanting to expand your horizons and there is nobody who is will to go the extra mile with you. It can be discouraging, but hang in there, you'll find someone! jammer

there's a climbing group that operates out of penntech in williamsport. if you get a chance, head over there. i used to climb with them when i went to college there. just ask around or look for stuff posted up about it. they might have even expanded to the internet, couldn't hurt to look. Dave

If my memory serves me right, which is not always the case these days, Lock haven is close to state college. There is an outdoor club and alot of active climbers there. Just head out to hunters or donation on a nice weekend and be friendly.

hey man, im goin to school in williamsport at the moment and we just started an outdoors club. we have a good number of climbers in the club so if ur up for it get ahold of me and ill let u know whats goin on when the weather gets a little nicer. pm me or something. we also do a lot of hiking, biking, snowboarding, so if anything else interests u let me know too, the more the merrier (sp?). by the way, i saw LHU's wall once and it looks pretty nice, but i can see how u might get bored. peace, colby
