Hello! Sounds like fun. Any details? Are you looking for someone for the whole time or also for little bits/weekends? What grade climbs are you interested in? I could be interested, have all my gear and a car. Cheers! Mark

Hi Mark now I know it exactly, I get two weeks off, the last two off july. some ideas: warm up in the Alpstein, a nice place with plenty of routes, then go for some longer alpine staff, Toedi 3614 meters will be interessting. Salbit or Bergell will be perfect for some great climbing days. But always depends on the weather, if there is rain on the north, we can go south to the Tessin with lots of granite climbing ... My limit to lead is about 5c to 6a by sprtclimbing. There are some other people answer, maybe we can make a small group, will be interessting ... take care Andreas :P

Hi Andreas! Ok. I'll have to see how those weeks will look. It sounds good. The hardest leads I've done sportclimbing are around 5b/5c on slab/crack as Chamonix grading goes, so it sounds like we are not too far apart to have some fun... Cheers! Mark

Fladimir: Do you have some specific plans yet? I have some proposal if interested and I could meet up more easily from Grand St. Bernard, since I come from the Italian side. It would though be a mixture of rock/alpine stuff and we could start from Champex and then move up to one of the huts/bivacous such as Orny, Trient, Saleina, etc. It would thus also be partly glaciertravel involved depending what one want to do? There is a load of climbs that can be done there. Otherwise I am not very familiar going north from there in Switzerland torwards the Rhone valley and if you have some specific plans I would be glad to hear and to see? - Christian

Well I guess I better write on this thread as well... I'll be arriving somewhere around Courmayer/Chamonix around the last whole week of July. Originally was planning on doing some easy mountaineering solo during that week, but migth be interestid in doing some rock climbing as well. And since I have wheels, I'm not tied to any specific locations. So I'm up for mountaineering (AD is snow/ice and D if on rock), or for rock I'm comfortable in lower french 5's doesn't matter if it's bolted or cams & nuts. And if it's short single pitch sport I'm redpointing upto around 6a/b. Henkka
